Holiday Inn London Heathrow - Bath Road, an IHG Hotel

We arrived at around 8pm with 2 children and a 3 month old baby and were told they were unable to find our booking, however after around an hour and a lot of perseverance from Sam on reception they eventually found it. Sam could have been more helpful or apologetic and for the inconvenience upgraded our rooms! The rooms were fabulous, overlooking the airport runway which pleased the older children and myself immensely! The stay after the initial issue was wonderful, the breakfast was lovely as were the staff, would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Thought would be easy and inexpensive to get to airport from here, unfortunately it's either 30 pounds for a family of 4 on the hotel shuttle or in an Uber.

Clean, friendly staff and great family room.

Loved it. Stayed on our way into Europe, and loved it so much that we stayed again on the way out. Clean. Quiet (even with the baby crying next door, it was so soft that it didn’t disturb us at all!) No stomping noises from upstairs or slamming doors. No smells of pot coming through like you get in most hotels in the states now. The breakfast was amazing! We’d come for that alone. In fact, it’s the whole reason we came back. Great check in and check out times. Easy transport to the airport (as long as it’s not late like it was on our way in).

Room was great: big, clean, quiet. It was hard to get to from the airport by bus (we got into town very late at night, minutes after their shuttle, which is quite expensive for a family, quit running for the night.) The bus drops you off quite close to the hotel, but there is no easy way to get to the hotel from the stop. You must cross the major street in front of the hotel as well as a not quite so major one, but there are no crosswalks, so, you run and pray. Breakfast was amazing. Tradition English fare like blood pudding and beans as well as many other yummy treats like pancakes, waffles, chocolate pastries, croissants and Nutella, fruits of all kinds, a yogurt bar, etc. the breakfast alone after a long previous day of travel was well worth the trouble getting there.

The room was very nice, but the breakfast was exceptional. You don't expect an airport hotel to have such a great breakfast. It was our last meal from a 2-week tour of Europe and our grandchildren rated it as one of the best breakfasts of the trip.

In terms of airport-adjacent hotels, this did the job perfectly. Note that if you're a family, an Uber to the airport will be cheaper than the shuttle.

The lobby was so full of people waiting to be checked in because there was only one receptionist. Some kids made a lot of noise in the hallway at midnight when they went to their rooms.
