Hotel Victoria

The hotel’s old elevator was broken, and even though it was check-in time, our room on the 8th floor wasn’t cleaned. We had to go up and down with our two kids.

The first main issue was checking in to Hotel Victoria. The website says park and unload your luggage in our dedicated loading zone out front of the hotel. However, there is no loading zone. Construction on Yonge Street does not allow for any unloading. The website also mentions a 10% discount on daily parking for the Commerce Court parkade and to use a booking tool on the website. However, I was unable to get the booking tool to work. I had to hop out of my car to check in while the rest of my family continued to drive around. I ask the check-in staff about the the booking tool for parking but they had no answer but to just park nor how to get the 10% discount. Additionally, I was instructed to just take the ticket and pay whenever we left. Furthermore, I was given no instructions on which side of the parking garage to park and how to get to the hotel once getting off the elevator, which empties you in a office building's lobby. The location of this hotel was perfect for the activities my family was going to do. The room looked pretty much like the picture on the website. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I just hope the luggage dropoff and parking issues can be resolved once the construction on Yonge Street is finished.

I was not impressed and I will not go back to that hotel in the future. The rooms are locking of real comfort. We had no using landline and we had no television as the Wi-Fi was basically down for the entire time. Outside of the very comfortable bed there was nowhere else to sit besides an old weak rickety chair. I kid you not. The room was very clean. They have no wheelchair access, only ONE CART. Getting in w luggage was a painful and inconvenient prices. Great location and mattress ...that's it.
