Hyatt Place Ottawa West

Have been staying at this hotel about 5 times a year since 2022 , it is clean , new and recommended for business travel given the price . I would recommend it for families as there is nothing in the area except for a bar .

We booked last minute to attend a funeral, but surprisingly, the hotel was great! The room was spacious and very clean. The washroom was also big and clean. The front desk was very helpful and prompt – we asked for an extra blanket, and it was delivered right away! The kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. There was ample parking. Very convenient.

Where do I start! What a beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, lobby, pool, main areas. Etc The free breakfast was amazing, the hotel staff were super friendly, they made my 4 year old feel special every time we seen someone they would stop and say hello and talk to her asking her about our stay, made her trip! The front desk delivered us a play pen with in 5 mins of checking in I didn’t even have to remind them of the request, the rooms were huge, clean, modern. The elevators were fast, the pool was a clean relaxing salt water pool, the kids loved it. The parking was excellent, even had electric parking right out front. Highly recommend, will stay again

This hotel is very convenient for our needs. Lovely pool for the grandkids, clean, quiet and a nice breakfast selection. Had a scare when the fire alarm sounded in the middle of the night (only in our room). Luckily maintenance responded quickly to resolve the issue.

I've lately stayed with my family at Hyatt Place for our trip to Ottawa. It was a bad experience all along which really put a damper on our vacation. The hotel was clean service was poor. Here are the issues that we experienced during our two night stay at the hotel: 1. We had booked our room a few days before through Expedia, fully paid for the hotel room and received our confirmation from Expedia. We called on our way to inform the hotel that we might arrive later that night. To our surprise, the reception staff told us the hotel was overbooked, there was no guarantee that they'd give us a room and whoever checks in first would get the room. We reminded them that we had booked via Expedia and our reservation was confirmed. The answer was: "this is not how it works". They tried to blame overbooking on Expedia and offered to get us a room in a hotel nearby. When we checked in that night, reception staff said we were lucky to have a room and it's only because someone had cancelled earlier. 2. Both nights, people next door to our room were loud and noisy and we couldn't sleep until 2 AM. We called the reception, explained the situation and ask them to do something but nothing changed. 3. The hotel offered free breakfast but this was poorly managed. They ran out toast and it took more than half an hour to refill it. I wanted to make tea but no hot water was available. I had to ask one of the servers to bring it. Overall, it was a frustrating experience for my family and me.

very nice hotel, staff was amazing would recommend to all our family and friends. Breakfast was very tasty loves our suit especially the size of the room only one concern was an area at the foot of one of the beds in our room (600) that appeared to be poop stains. Feel this could have been from last costumers using the room maybe changed a poopy diaper on the bed. We are very understanding people and realize things are sometimes missed. we just removed the top cover on the bed.

Lots of kids, running and yelling in the hallways & rooms. Paper thin walls. Bed too firm for my taste. Poor breakfast with crowded rooms: we left with an average coffee. Never going back.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at the Hyatt, no matter where I’ve taken it. Always family accommodating . Friendly staff. I do not like having the pets around. I am an animal lover , but preferred not to vacation with pets around
