I'll start by saying that the staff were all very friendly, and the rooms were very nice and clean. We were "upgraded" to a junior suite upon arrival, which was seemed nice, but the room ended up being located directly above the club they operate, which was booming bass into the room until well past 3am. We could not sleep at all, and complaints to the front desk were met with "I told the bar manager..." and that's about it.

The property was very dirty. The smell was so bad in the room that I had to ask for deodorant spray to soak the carpets and curtains. We did not sleep the first night because they had us stay in a room above the bar which was pounding and bibrating u til 3 am. Staff would not assist and made either snide comments or rolled their Wes. I had to go through several staff members and no one actually assisted. Two weeks later I was given a partial cos ou t on the room for the first night. Other family members had issues with dirty rooms and poor service as well. I will not stay here sgain and the rates are beyond over over priced

The property is upbeat with a modern design and the staff was accommodating and did a great job. The area around the hotel is a little rough with strip clubs and XXX stores nearby. Not the easiest if you’re traveling with a family.

Enjoyed my stay! The hotel seems new / newly renovated so everything felt clean, modern, and fresh. Interior decor very on theme if you’re into that. Photos on the website are accurate. Room came with a nespesso, fridge, iron, and other staple amenities. Staff was also super nice, attentive, and responsive. Not ideal if you’re a light sleeper or have little kids maybe, it seems like a lively part of the neighborhood so music and noise from events around the block at night can carry. Had my airpods on noise cancelling and wasn’t a problem for me. Hotel restaurant had good food and also a cool vibe. Breakfast is pricey but it’s buffet style and will be worth it if you just want to have a slow morning and not go out. Parking for a fee, just that it’s an uncovered lot, not sure if they have security; but that’s Vancouver for you. Location is also convenient - you can walk to bus stops, train stations, good food places, niche shops. Busy area though so just be aware while walking, never felt to a point that it was unsafe but you definitely can’t just idle around the street.

Property is safe and renewed, but the are around is too dirty, noisy, and party. Good for young adults looking to party, but not ideal for families.

My family and I will NOT be staying at the Belmont anymore. The receptionist failed to communicate to us that there were “hidden fees” we had to pay. She charged us these extra fees upon checkout without telling us what the charges were for and why. We were very upset with the lack of professionalism and communication from the hotel receptionist. Additionally, the guests above our room were loud and stomping past Quiet Hours, and there was music blaring from right outside the window of the rooms each night well past 3am. The cleaning services were exceptional, which is the only positive experience we had while staying at Belmont.

The hotel is supposed to have a "three strike" policy, but on the Friday evening from 10 PM to 1:30 AM I had to call 5 times about a very loud group of people in an adjacent room. Was told the next day that I would be compensated...nothing. As well, the following 3 nights the room above had children jumping off the furniture constantly and again nothing was done. I was told though that the hotel could give me ear plugs...not the best solution as I didn't want to sit while in my hotel room with ear plugs in for the rest of the stay. Finally, housecleaning didn't really clean my room so much as replace the towels …I had to ask the front desk to have them vacuum my room minutes after housecleaning left as it had clearly been missed. I asked many times during my stay about my issues and the promised compensation and every worker just kept saying, "Sorry." and they would get back to me. NO one did. This hotel only looks good "on paper."

Not recommended for families at all. Nude pictures and symbols at the reception restroom. Parking very limited. No ramp for strollers. Loud AC. Single elevator for a 5 floor hotel is a joke. Noise from the hotel night club at night. Room is modern, clean and tidy.

Hotel vibe is young and energetic. The hashtag displayed around the property is #hotelhouseparty which accurately describes the vibe. There’s a bar on the first floor and a night club in the basement. The walls are thin so cross your fingers you’re not next to a party room. The area around the hotel is full of restaurants and bars which is great if that’s what you’re in Vancouver for. This is not a family-focused hotel nor a business hotel. It is best for young people and couples looking to experience the Vancouver nightlife. We had a good time! But if you’re travelling with young kids or looking for a peaceful place to stay, sleep, work etc. I would go elsewhere.

If you're looking for a funky, eclectic hotel that's downtown and close the the party scene you will be happy. Rooms are small but renovated well. Hotel is fairly noisy especially the rooms above the nightclub, and it's not what I'd call a family hotel. BE AWARE - parking lot is not underground and if you don't have an electric car you will likely be keyed!
