We paid 500 usd/night for one bedroom and a pull-out couch for family of 4. The TV is only free for Live channels. The kids want to watch a movie but there is not even one free movie, they asked to pay $25 for on demand movie. For the bathroom, there is a shower and a bathtub, but there is no curtains so if one person take a shower, other can’t use the toilet or bathtub. The swimming pool is so tiny. Definitely we are not coming back to this hotel.

The staff and overall hotel was great. We were planning on doing some sight seeing and having dinner at one of Vancouvers many local restaurants. Except we did none of that because there was a shooting right outside our hotel so we were not permitted to leave. We have two small children and were forced to use the Hiltons pricey menu so our kids were able to eat. We asked the next day if the Hilton was offering any compensation as we lost the entire evening through no fault of our own. We were told "the Hilton is also a victim in all of this." Which left a bad taste in my mouth. I will choose a different hotel for our stay as I don't feel valued as a paying customer. We had one night to explore and experience Vancouver and it was ruined.

Overall had an excellent stay in the suite. Excellent panoramic views even at low floors. Excellent service. Barely any noise. Functional and large bathroom. HVAC was perfect. Room was clean and dust free. The only thing I was disappointed about was that despite the large sq ft, it wasn’t carefully thought of for families. The tiny fridge was filled with drinks making it hard to store own food. The king bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable. Only two elevators so sometimes wait times were significant.

It's been 6 yrs since we've been to Vancouver BC (from Seattle); our favorite city. We've stayed a dozen times at the Hilton, formerly the Westin Grand. Not much changed. Staff service is very good. Unfortunately our room was not ready at 4pm check in, we waited 30 min but were offered a free drink in the lobby lounge. They downgraded the 5'w kitchenette w/dishes, etc with an 2'w coffee cab. This is important to us as we like to buy fruit and pastry in the neighborhood and have breakfast and tea in the room, even moreso now that we have a 5-yo. The Nexpresso machine was a downgrade. The rooftop pool, hot tub, gym and locker rooms were TOP CLASS, kiddo loved it. Slow elevators, only 2 for 31 stories means lots of waiting, especially at checkout time. Location is great, too bad the drug and homeless epidemic has enveloped Robson Street too, there were brain-blasted bums laying on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. The local parks are daylight drug dens. The foot traffic on Robson was way down on beautiful warm August weekdays. It's tragic that the huge Nordstrom only 2 blocks away on Robson is now permanently closed. Tons of new condo towers in the area combined with so many parking and traffic lanes replaced by bike and bus lanes that traffic is infinitely worse than 10 years ago, I mean it was BRUTAL! It took 45 minutes to get from the hotel to Stanley Park (4 miles) at noon on Friday. Whatever, Vancouver BC is still a fabulous city, but not quite as sweet as 10 years ago!

The property architecture, interiors and landscaping was very well done. The pool and gym are lovely. Our room design was gorgeous and spacious. We like having the two rooms for a family. The cityscape views are outstanding and we love the proximity to shopping, Stanley Park and Granville Island.

Great stay at the Hilton downtown. Room (1bdroom King) was perfect for our family of four. Quiet, comfortable and close to everything! Only wish is to have built in daily room service without having to request 24 hours in advance.

I was very disappointed that this is rated kids friendly and for kids there was not any entertainment. TV's were not smart tvs and any kids movies were on demand and there was a charge for $25 .. Secondly no service was provided even though we asked for it.. Overall we were not satisfied with the service after paying so much money.
