Thanks to all the staff of Empress hotel. Staying at Empress was something I have always wanted and having my birthday there was a dream come through. Though I didn't get all the complementary things they promised me over the phone for my birthday(birthday cake, complimentary wine and one other thing) I only got strawberry dipped in chocolate. Hopefully they'll make up for it next time. I remain humble as always. Thanks Empress for hosting us. The high tea was amazing, the kids dinner menu has the best menu. Adult menu was good too. I love the West coast oysters fermented garden hot sauce, mignonette jelly, citrus. Thank you Empress.

The Fairmont Empress is a beautiful and historic property, the staff is very professional and courteous, and the location is great. The one downside was that my room was between that of a loud family and I think a storage closet or some other space that the staff frequently had to get into, and also there was a lot of street noise. There's not much the staff can do to control the volume of other guests, but I was surprised that, given this is one of the higher-end hotels in Victoria, it seemed that nothing had been done to soundproof or insulate the walls and doors. Still overall a pleasant stay.

Great stay for mid winter break with my 2 kids. We booked a room with executive lounge access which was well worth the expense. Highly recommended

For us this hotel is very nice and fancy, very friendly staff, originally our booking was a junior suite for 2 they upgraded to one bed room suit to accommodate 3 people, the suite was super clean and roomy; hotel situates in front of Victoria Island harbor, 5 minutes walking to restaurants 👍

We were waiting more then 1h at 11:15pm in a smocky launch area . Family wanted to go to bed and shower and “they” couldn’t find your reservation and top of that my family is in part First Nation and so they didn’t feel sitting in a bar setting and everyone starring at them .this was a terrible experience!

We enjoyed our stay! Close to the water, shops and restaurants. Great pool with a swim lane too. Even a toddler warmer pool & hot tub!
