I loved everything about the hotel from we arrived until we left. It was clean, the room was spacious and nicely decorated and the service was impeccable! Valet parking was amazing and the front desk staff were all wonderful. Check in and out was seamless and quick and the duty manager even sent up a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine the night we arrived after I commented it had been a long day travelling with two young kids. The hotel is close to everything, but also off the beaten track so very quiet for sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was wonderful. Overall we loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be spoiled and pampered. My two young children and little dog were also made to feel very welcome. If I could find one thing I didn’t like was no pool/hot tub..but we honestly didn’t even miss it once we were there. We’ve stayed at the Empress and the Grand Pacific during previous visits to Vancouver Island but I have to say I enjoyed The Magnolia the best of all. 10/10.

This hotel was definitely a good find. Very high standards throughtout the property. Room was a good size for our family. Great idea in the bathroom for when your need to go during the evening an a soft under cabinet light comes on automatically when you open the door as to not awake the rest of the room. Also loved the fact there was a dyson hairdryer and l'occitane toiletries to hand. Happy hour in the bar was great and the oysters we had were gorgeous with the in house spicy sauce. 10/10 a hotel I would recommend.

Stayed as family of 4 including two teenage daughters Location of hotel is excellent I requested early check in and rooms were already prepared when we arrived Valeted my car overnight and was able to leave car a few hours more the next day which took out the stress of finding parking elsewhere to get more touristy stuff done around town 2 queen bed rooms were spacious and clean…views out windows weren’t that great but wasn’t important to us Overall a pleasant experience from check-in to valet parking personnel …courteous and friendly Well done

We usually stay at the Fairmont Empress when in Victoria but in the summer they don’t have A/C due to their historic building designation so this time we searched for somewhere new. Just out of blind luck, I stumbled upon The Magnolia Hotel and Spa surfing Expedia and saw their four star designation and read the reviews, so we gave them a shot! The room condition at Magnolia was outstanding! I don’t know if they just refreshed the rooms but it was neat and clean from walls to floors to baseboards everything was looking great! The housecleaning staff was fantastic, each day we were there they kept our room in tip top shape! Yay for room service after Covid! The front desk and concierge were friendly and they tried to be as helpful as possible. Every time I asked for something, I never heard “no.”The location was great as everything you wanted to see in Victoria city centre/harbour was within walking distance. My only wish was that they had access to a pool and kid’s robes but aside from that we loved our stay! You can bet that when we’re visiting Victoria, we’ll be staying at Magnolia again.
