I stayed with my partner and twin 2-year-olds. The location is great - we walked to the Cultural Precinct and Streets Beach, plenty of places to eat nearby and a small Woolies Metro about 5 minutes away. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. I would have liked the cot fee to be more reasonable for longer stays (we were there a week, with 2 kids, so we had to bring our own). We were on the 3rd floor, at eye level with the passing train line which was about 5m from our window. The sound-proofing was excellent, and it amused the toddlers, but we had to keep the windows shut all the time. The lack of exhaust fans in the bathrooms and laundry meant the place tended to get very stuffy and it was difficult to dry our towels and swimmers. No bathtub in either bathroom. The sliding door to the master bedroom didn't have a latch or lock for privacy. The kitchen was really disappointing. We stayed specifically because we wanted kitchen facilities travelling with kids. There's an oven, no oven trays. No dish drying rack to hand wash kid things. You're provided a single use (plastic) packet of dishwashing liquid although reception was happy to provide more on request. The only frypan was not flat so it didn't heat evenly and the handle was loose. There is a recycling area downstairs but no bin in the room to collect recyclables. I wouldn't stay here again with toddlers, but with older kids or adults it'd be fine. It could be great with a little attention to detail.

We checked in on a public holiday via key-drop. The apartment was uncleaned - with rubbish from the previous occupants (bagged fortunately) on the kitchen top, bed used & unmade of course, towels dirty. We also were assigned a handicapped accessible room without asking for this-with associated troublesome bathrooms. The most frustrating thing was management was completely uncontactable-for days prior when I was trying to check re payment, & then on all of the check in day to correct the problems. Another person who had checked in that day had no towels & told me she had tried to contact management all that day. The calls to the a/hours number just went to a message bank stating "the inbox is full'-as it had for 3 days. There was another emergency no on a sticker displayed in several spots to contact if the after hours number did not answer - & on ringing them we were told that they no longer handled after hours/emergency contact for capitol apartments & hadn't for some time-so why is their sticker displayed? These apartment doors are self-locking, so if someone was unfortunate enough to lock themselves out there is no way to contact anyone outside of hours to help. This is frankly dangerous if something like medication was locked in the apartment, or a small child left in there while going to the rubbish chute or similar. This is not acceptable and I would not take the risk of staying there again. Of note, I have never left a bad r/v of any accommodation before.

Was very close to Convention Centre and handy to GOMA etc. I didn't realise the train would be right outside our window (lvl 3) but in saying that, there was absolutely no noise. Good soundproofing. Room was clean and had everything. Disappointed that we'd booked in for 2 adults and 3 kids but there were no sheets provided for the pull out couch. Pool was small but clean. Gym was spotless. Small but good machines. Great little bar and restaurant underneath. No room service for breaky. Overall a positive experience.
