Excellent place to stay close to West End and idea for family

Good location within walking distance to various restaurants/cafes/coles/woolworths in Westend/Southbank free carparking (2metre height limit, single level, tight open basement parking) -- Good self checkin advice outside of their office hours -- unfortunately no lifts in apartment complex, only stairs -- apartment 41 on Level 2 (highest level) had all the necessities for a comfortable 4 night stay with a toddler such as king bed with foldable spare bed to setup next to king bed, washing machine/dryer/foldable clothes lines/pegs, balcony with bar stools/table -- unfortunately first 2 days/nights apartment needed airing out due to heavy cigarette smoke either from previous guests or other guests staying in lower apartments -- shower head too low for people over 160cm, maybe replace with cheap stainless steel longer flexible shower stem with adjustable head -- king bed mattress is more on the soft side with high/thick pillows -- kitchen needs a dish drying rack due to no dishwasher -- no dining table/chairs, just bar stools for kitchen bench and lounge couch/chair

No elevator made it hard getting the pram, children and bags up and down the stairs. Nice and close to south bank

Great spot fr what we needed it for, a family reunion.

Pros: Location is fantastic in West End. Short walk to South Bank. 1 Brm apartment is a good size, feels spacious and has plenty of storage. Living area and bedroom both have own aircon which is a huge plus. Also TV in both areas was an unexpected plus as we were using the pull out sofa bed in the living area for our child. Cons: HVAC exhaust fan on the roof above apartment runs 24/7. The bed is on wheels - which I understand makes it a lot easier to make up - but some form of lock on the wheels is needed for safety. A few extra utensils and a tray to cook food in the oven would be useful. The staff were very responsive when we let them know about the noise in our room but ultimately there was nothing they could do about it. Overall the apartment needs a little TLC. Some updates have been made and are very nice but a paint job would go a long way to improving it and a new toilet seat wouldn’t hurt either.

Very bad experience from the start. On the day of the check-in, I called at around 1 PM confirming about my stay and also informing them that I would be there by 2 PM for the check in. The guy at the reception told me that its not ready now and will be ready by the time I reach there. But to my shock, when I reached there, my apartment was not ready and I was told that it would be ready by 3 PM. My almost 3 yr old daughter was asleep in the car and I had no place to put her in the bed in such a hot day. This even when I informed about my reaching there on time. I asked for a temporary room till the time my room was ready, and I was given a room which was in pathetic condition and in no way you could put your child on the bed there. Also when we got our room, the sofa bed was out. As we didnt need it, we put it back and to our surprise, it was all dirty and uncleaned under it. Really very disappointed, considering the amount we paid for that apartment. I would not recommend this for anyone, specially with children.

Always a good place to stay when I am visiting family but price wise in comparison with others close by it is a little expensive. Great to have free parking.
