Novotel Brisbane South Bank Hotel

4-star hotel with Motel service, safety and comfort. Requested a cot which arrived later that night. The cot was so dirty it had blood and food residue on the cot mesh walls. The staff never replaced the toilet paper and no complimentary water or sanitary bags were offered. The hotel claims it is family focused however other than some board games and access to some balls to use at the park there wasn’t much else. The park was also very dangerous as it was full of tents dodgy looking people. Would not be returning here. It wasn’t even conveniently located!

We stayed as a family of 4, two small children. We could not fault this hotel. The buffet breakfast was full and beautiful. All staff were so helpful and caring. Room was pretty small but we didn’t spend much time in there! 5 stars from us!

Recently I stayed at Novotel with two young children. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the room was comfortable and pleasant and the breakfast had a great selection and service was professional and friendly. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.

Staff were wonderful. My three children loves getting the activity pack on checkin. Rooms clean, modern and well stocked. Pool area nice. We were very lucky to have free ice cream handed out in the afternoon during our stay. Only down fall is not enough on site parking. Parking isn’t far but when you’ve got several bags and children it can be a bit inconvenient. Thanks for a wonderful stay Novotel Southbank. We will be back.

Upon checking in, I was informed that your car park was full. I had driven for 3 hours and wanted my bags collected from my car and an undercover, secure car park for my car. Instead, I had to deposit my children and bags in the reception and then drive a block away to the Convention Centre Car Park and walk back to the hotel in the pouring rain. I would be fine with that if it was a cheap motel but I expect better from a $450 p/night hotel. The check in girl (Ash) couldn’t have cared less. Upon checkout the next day, I had to leave children and bags in reception while I walked a block away to retrieve my car and drive back to the hotel. If I had be forewarned, I would’ve booked the nearby Rydges Hotel and had an obliging concierge collect my bags and arrange valet parking for my car for the same Tarif. Lesson learned. I will never return to The Novotel

Perfect location, beautiful room, excellent food and service. Amazing kids activities. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stay was pleasant, room was clean and simple. Central location to southbank which was great for walking with the family. Parking was not included in room fair and hotel parking space was also unavailable and had to park offsite which was inconvenient and an extra expense. Probably would not stay again due to a few factors but overall experience was good.

Easy family city stay with good value buffet breakfast deal

I really enjoyed some of the details, like having super dooper for the kids by the pool, or the eco friendly toiletries, the trampoline, USB ports in the room. lots of details. I didn't love the very modern bath. I was only with my children, if I was with a partner I would have felt embarassed to be honest. I also didn't like that the block out blinds were virtually impossible to completely shut.

Staff very welcoming. The extra details we loved were activities for children- art on Saturday and a lady twisting balloons at breakfast. Also the Easter Bunny outside every room on Sunday am. Also very convenient to QPAC and Southbank eateries. Well done Novotel.
