Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South

Fantastic service and everyone was nice and helpful. It was ocean front but was on the 2nd floor so I could see the roof of the restaurant below more than the ocean. Breakfast was great. Clean and comfortable room. Not the best location for kids. But overall was great and would stay again just not on 2nd floor.

The weather outside was not good for a trip like this however the hotel was incredible. Slight noise during the day due to renovations on the floor below but quiet otherwise. Garbage cans they leave you are pretty small. Not friendly for a child in diapers.

Had a great families vacation. Very pleased with accommodations. Nice room clean and comfortable. Staff thru out were very helpful and polite.

The hotel was okay, everything looked pretty organized, sheets were pretty clean, bathroom not the cleanest. The staff was nice, and I love that they had water bottles available at the front desk any time we asked! The reason I didn't give 5 stars is we had four adults and one child in the room and when we requested more towels they didn't want to give us extras. There is also an outdoor pool right outside and they did not let us use it because it is apparently "property of the hotel in the building next door." Disappointing. Other than those minor things, breakfast was okay - very packed, so if you want waffles get there early or there will be a huge line. Location is good, beautiful oceanfront decks right on the boardwalk to the beach! Everything is walking distance right in the downtown. The restaurant at the hotel had good food, but the best food we had on this trip was at Croc's 19th Street Bistro, check it out!!

Right on the beach. Close to food and stores. Whole family had a great time.

I like a location of the property it’s convenient, free parking easy access to restaurants and shopping. However the property is old, but functional, they also allow pets in the property which makes lousy noise and lots of kids which is not my favorite when it comes to my vacation, no more trips to this property

i like everything in this property. pool time was 7am but did not open even 8am . i ask person was cleaning he say i do not know. went ti front disk no positive answer. my kids want to go to pool before leave. but it ok

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very Pet Friendly, and family oriented. Breakfast was exceptional. only thing i was not happy about is the indoor pool being closed for 2 of our 4 days there. Our children were very disappointed. I also didn’t like the fact that I needed to request cleaning of our room. would have preferred to have a “Do not disturb” sign if we could have passed on a days cleaning. staff did bring clean towels when asked. a broom and dustpan would have been nice to deal with the sand if daily cleaning was not routine

The property is right on the strip and there is a bar/grill on the ground floor. You can leave the car parked and walk to get food or go shopping. The view of the boardwalk from our balcony was beautiful. I had a few other issues though. One of the beds in our room was extremely hard. It felt like a boxspring instead of a mattress. The lighting in the bathroom needs to be repaired. The vanity did not work at all even though maintenance changed the bulb. The other light on the ceiling was blinking even after the guy changed the bulb. The bed skirt on the bed had stains of food. One of the beds blocked the mirror and the closet. We didnt bother asking for another room because I overheard them telling someone else that they were fully booked. The room was also a conjoined room which I feel should be listed in the booking. I was traveling alone with my children and was not happy when I saw the door to another room. Other wise the staff is good and security was very helpful upon arrival.

Decent place to stay right on the beach. I would bring the family back to this location.
