Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South

We were very happy with the Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South,Check-in was a breeze and the personnel at the front desk were very polite. The hotel was very clean, and the room was very spacious, bathroom was spotted clean. The breakfast was the best we had in any hotel, a lot a variety and fresh foods for everybody even for the picky eater like my daughter, they had two kinds of omelets, sausage roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, banana bread and bagels with cream cheese and jelly options, a waffle station with lots of toppings, coffee and tea 24/7. Apple and orange juice, and milk. The kitchen breakfast manager was there to greet us and wish us a great day! you can tell that she is giving an amazing service and wanted us to feel at home. They had two dining rooms, so it was plenty space for us to find a table and it was not crowded at all. Parking was very convenient and lots of it, the parking lot entrance is next to the hotel lobby and for just $10 a night for a covered and safe parking lot for our car it was a steal. The lobby is on the hotel side, so it was a little difficult for us to find it at first, because usually the lobby is at the front of the hotel, but it was not an issue at all. The pool was on the small side but still plenty of room, for at least 3 to 4 families at once. Overall, we are very happy with this hotel, and we are starting to plan our next trip and will stay here again. Just a few steps from the beach!

Fantastic service and everyone was nice and helpful. It was ocean front but was on the 2nd floor so I could see the roof of the restaurant below more than the ocean. Breakfast was great. Clean and comfortable room. Not the best location for kids. But overall was great and would stay again just not on 2nd floor.

Great experience. Renovated space. Safe parking. Professional & couteous staff. Prefer bacon or omelet option at breakfast. Need a "pet only" elevator and a rug at entry for the wet kiddos coming in from beach or pool (damp floor/safety). Overall LOVED this hotel. Will return.

Virginia Beach what happened to you? Took my family there only to find it feels really unsafe. You have to go through a metal detector to go to the boardwalk carnival. The Sheriff deputies screening people were the only law enforcement in sight. There used to be police cars on every other block. Now, nothing. Very unsettling what you have become.

The weather outside was not good for a trip like this however the hotel was incredible. Slight noise during the day due to renovations on the floor below but quiet otherwise. Garbage cans they leave you are pretty small. Not friendly for a child in diapers.

Had a great families vacation. Very pleased with accommodations. Nice room clean and comfortable. Staff thru out were very helpful and polite.

The hotel was okay, everything looked pretty organized, sheets were pretty clean, bathroom not the cleanest. The staff was nice, and I love that they had water bottles available at the front desk any time we asked! The reason I didn't give 5 stars is we had four adults and one child in the room and when we requested more towels they didn't want to give us extras. There is also an outdoor pool right outside and they did not let us use it because it is apparently "property of the hotel in the building next door." Disappointing. Other than those minor things, breakfast was okay - very packed, so if you want waffles get there early or there will be a huge line. Location is good, beautiful oceanfront decks right on the boardwalk to the beach! Everything is walking distance right in the downtown. The restaurant at the hotel had good food, but the best food we had on this trip was at Croc's 19th Street Bistro, check it out!!

Right on the beach. Close to food and stores. Whole family had a great time.

I like a location of the property it’s convenient, free parking easy access to restaurants and shopping. However the property is old, but functional, they also allow pets in the property which makes lousy noise and lots of kids which is not my favorite when it comes to my vacation, no more trips to this property

i like everything in this property. pool time was 7am but did not open even 8am . i ask person was cleaning he say i do not know. went ti front disk no positive answer. my kids want to go to pool before leave. but it ok
