Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Staff was very nice. Our room was beautiful and clean. The gym and pool were super clean and accessible. Breakfast was amazing and the beach was nice during spring break. I recommend booking at this location if you are a family with small children.

I hate to leave a negative review as my family has stayed here twice before, but I will never book with this hotel again. I booked through Expedia and paid in full, the day before our planned stay, my 5 year old tested positive for Covid and was very sick. I immediately contacted Expedia to change dates as I wasn’t able to travel with a sick child nor did I want to infect other hotel guests. They told me the hotel had no available dates for the next 2 months and submitted a request to the hotel for a refund since they weren’t able to change my dates and my child was sick and we couldn’t make our stay. Expedia later contacted me and informed me that the hotel manager wouldn’t approve a refund. So I am now out $400 for 2 nights at a hotel I wasn’t even able to be at because I had a child with Covid. I’m beyond upset and disappointed because we did have a great experience the last 2 times we stayed but we won’t be staying again.

Clean, family oriented, peaceful. Had a wonderful stay here. We stayed for 4 nights will definitely come back.

Very family oriented.

I already reviewed this property earlier through Expedia. It was a great stay and we were very glad we chose Fairfield for our hotel. Family of four, adult kids, picky eaters. Loved the breakfast, loved the room with the balcony and walked to the beach twice a day. Can’t get better than that. We needed a nice and relaxing place to stay. Thank you to all the staff!

Upon check in on June 7th, 2023, the front desk clerk went above and beyond to help us. She was very courteous and welcoming. The desk clerk was assuming on the day of early check out June 9th 2023. This desk clerk acted as thoigh I was interrupting her, and she would not acknowledge me at first. I had to check out early due to a family emergency. I told the desk clerk what I needed to do, and she immediately and sternly informed me "you're not getting a refund for your last night." I politely told her "I realize this," and asked her what was the correct procedure for room key return. The desk clerk (june 9th) stated " you can leave the keys in the room, or leave them here in this cup ( on the feont desk).

Love the location of being on the beach and had so much you could walk to restaurants, pier, souvenir shops, family fun area of little rides. 😀 Have small great access to a lot of attraction or outlet or fine dining restaurant. Hotel breakfast was great. Love the indoor pool and jacuzzi. It was great trip and the staff was very helpful and friendly gave phenomenal recommendations. You also is in walking distance to neptune park and bike and golf cart rentals. We will be staying here again.

Very convenient to everything. Liked we could walk. Hotel room needs some TLC....one remote didn't work; wallpaper is pealing. Still was nice though. Music across the street, at all hours, was offensive...dropping the f bomb and n word. Glad no kids were with me! It was also really loud. Amazing, personal staff

This trip was a wonderful experience for my family and I. Staff was very friendly and helpful, Jovan at the front desk was exceptional. He made sure we had everything we needed and advise on where to eat. The only draw back was that the hotel lost power over night into the next day. The Staff tried to make us comfortable but it was a very uncomfortable situation. Power was back around 1pm. Over it was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be returning. There was lots of entertainment and activities for families, we were not bored.
