We booked a room with “double” beds. Be warned that these are full size mattresses and the room has no sleeper sofa. The rooms are very small but the decor is modern and there is a lot of storage space. The balcony was very nice. The person that checked us in was not, he seemed like we were bothering him. I think you have to pay for the WiFi, if not it is just very difficult to connect to. I would not stay here again but for no other reason than the room was just too small for my family. The hallways were hot & you need to use your room key to operate the elevator.

Hotel and rooms are very nice, probably one of the better hotels in the area. Beach access was great, plenty of restaurants and shops in walkable distance. A few issues of note-the hallways and elevator of the hotel are not air conditioned, meaning once you enter the elevator from the lobby, you are waiting in the elevator and walking down the hallway in 90 degree heat. This also affected the temperature in our room, since the area near the door was constantly 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the room and required the AC on full blast just to maintain 75 degrees, which was a bit warm for us. We stayed on 2 separate occasions at the beginning and end of a road trip. The first night our room was on the corner of the hotel on the third floor. Normally this doesn't matter, but when there is a live band every night directly outside your hotel window/deck and you're on the third floor, its a little hard to sleep when they're playing until 10pm. Luckily our 10-month old is a heavy sleeper and we brought his white noise machine, otherwise we would have had a major problem. When I asked for a potential room change, the staff told me there was nothing to be done and gave me a single pair of ear plugs for myself, my wife, and our baby (to share I guess?). Finally the biggest issues is that at no point did they disclose that there is a $20/day fee to park your car in their lot. It did not see anything in the booking details nor did they tell me when I checked in.

Upon arrival the staff was friendly and polite. The valets were very helpful and friendly. The check in process was simple. The hotel very clean and welcoming. The young lady clerk who checked us in was nice. Although she failed to tell us what room we were in and didn’t write our room number down on our keys pamphlet it was no sweat no big deal. The hotel was very busy and has a very nice very busy restaurant attached to it. The place was very clean especially with that amount of foot traffic on the beach. We were very happy, safe and satisfied with our stay. Only thing I was grumpy over was not being able to extend our stay another day because we waited to late to do so. Although when I looked online after being told they were booked up to extend our stay I found a room similar at the same location online. Things happen though no big deal, I grew up with a father who ran hotels so I understand that. The stay was great. Oh and for anyone thinking of going to the quality inn next door. If you have a family and are used to a stay at a place like double tree don’t stay there. The Quality Inn is trash compared to the double tree.

My kids and I had came there for a quick mini vacation . We originally booked at a “motel” across the street . Unfortunately that was not inhabitable. We quickly booked with Double tree and made our way there. Upon check in we were greeted with smiles and hospitality! The kids also each recieved a warm cookie as a treat for checking in! Definitely will be staying here in the future. The access to the beach, Maui restaurant and staff all were great!

Hotel was average/nice I didn’t feel safe walking the area at night alone which I had to do since parking garage is a block away. Balcony view was nice. Wish room had some sort of table and chairs bc there was no where for us or kids to eat other than the floor. When I got to town early (2pm) I tried to check in but room was not ready (fine) but she said she would text me when it was. Continued to drive around with 2 screaming babies in the car and never got a text. Eventually showed back up to hotel and they said “oh yea ur room has been ready” …. When I tried calling the hotel it never clicked on, it would say stay on the line for all other issues and no one ever answered. My kids heard on the phone the thing about doubletree giving chocolate chip cookies and we’re stoked to get cookies when we got there but there was none. Minor inconvenience but when 2 kids have been kn the car all day and are excited for something it was a big let down to them.

Disclaimer- I paid $506 for one night here (Friday) which definitely factors into my review. First arrived-busy place, small parking lot packed, line up on the street for valet, husband almost got ran over by a guest. The Welcome at front desk was incredible! They gave cookies for all of us and asked about what our plans were then offered late checkout for free without even asking. The room was 2 queens but very small, little room to walk around the beds, we were stepping on each other. The kids went to the pool and said the water was very murky and they couldn’t see the bottom. There was a microwave by the ice machine which came in handy. The view was great. The restaurant had good breakfast, little pricy but understandable because no buffet. Beach was incredible not super packed, playground and fishing pier within walking distance, boardwalk a great place to walk, cycle, etc. rentals nearby.

Reserved 3 rooms at DoubleTree for a Family Vacation Event. Unfortuately, this room reservation for my family member was awaken on 1st night stay with bed bug bites. The mattress was lifted up and there were an infestation of bedbugs. They were given another room but was so uncomfortable they left on Sunday and did not attend the family gathering. Paid for 3 nights but they only stayed 2.
