This is a place we have visited multiple times over the years as we travel. It is very easy access to on and off the highway and in a fairly quiet stop. In today's world I am always looking for a safe place for my wife and children to stay at if I am not with them and this is one of our goto stops.

We stayed one night and got 2 rooms for our family of 5. Staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and had plenty of towels and pillows along with some toiletries. Close to I-81. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

After a few failed experiences while traveling to the northeast from the south, we found this hotel to be mostly great. We stayed in a king-size bedroom on our way up and in a double when getting back. The rooms and beds were comfortable, mostly clean, and quiet both times. The staff was super friendly with our pet and our 1-year-old. They immediately responded to our request for a free crib for our child both times, and were very helpful and welcoming, overall. The pet fee was definitely reasonable, the free-parking fee is definitely a plus, and breakfast had enough basic options for different tastes. On the downside, we had some issues with one of the bathrooms and felt a bit uneasy by the looks of some of the visitors when in public spaces on our way up. Nothing happened to us, and this is entirely based on stereotypes about groups that are unwelcoming to migrants, but as an international family, we became self-conscious about our own looks and origins - again, only on our way up. Regarding cleanliness, we didn't run into something extremely unpleasant, but thoroughly double-checking the rooms and beds would certainly improve the experience. Finally, as expected, there is not much to do around the area but that's fine if you're staying overnight and all you need is to walk your pet once or twice before getting back on the road. So, despite the minor issues, we appreciated finding this spot and will definitely stay there in our future trips.

There were many large service trucks and workmen and their families that were camping adjacent to the parking lot with a bonfire and cooking meals. Very young children were running around in the parking lot and riding their toys in the middle of the street. At checking in the clerk couldn’t separate the two rooms for payment. My room had long black hairs on the sheet. The people above my room were moving and stomping on the floors all night. I WILL NEVER STAY AT A LAQUINTA AGAIN.

The staff were awesome. We were travelling with special-needs children, and they made sure we got the connecting rooms we needed. Breakfast was great. But both rooms smelled strongly of mold -- like week-old wet towels -- coming from the a/c unit. Not sure if we'll be back.

Stayed there for two nights with family to hike the Virginia triple crown loop. Very comfortable stay, decent complementary breakfast (kids enjoyed the fresh? waffles) and the renovated room. Will stay again.
