Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Norfolk Airport, an IHG Hotel

I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience truly leaves me no option. This hotel was booked for family members in a time of distress. Thankfully, the full trip was not needed, so I called to request a change in the reservation and asked for a partial refund. Accepting to pay any kind of penalties for late changes. Every staff member I spoke to at this hotel was rude, abrasive, and aggressive. I am a very experienced traveler and I have never encountered a more unprofessional staff than the Holiday Inn Express, Norfolk. I was unable to speak to anyone without being spoken over, yelled at, argued with, and even accused of using foul language when I calmly explained the situation. Brittney the manager and Nis the assistant manager were absolutely atrocious. Truly inept in all aspects of hospitality. Needless to say, my refund request was declined after providing everything that was asked for. I strongly encourage travelers to look elsewhere for stays in Norfolk and to avoid this absolute joke and headache of a hotel. After my experience, I filed a complaint directly with IHG who was apologetic on the hotel's behalf and said they would look into their staff's actions. Hopefully, they do!

We as a couple stayed for one week while visiting family in the area. Great experience overall. Breakfast had many choices and was very good. Common areas were always clean and maid servive was efficient. Rooms are quiet and beds very plush and comfortable. Staff very accommodating and polite. No complaints whatsoever! We will be back here again.

Overall I enjoyed the stay at Holiday Inn. Staff was kind and attentive to all my needs. The only issue I had was regarding the infant bed i requested. I was given an old school type of infant bed for my child but later on a housekeeping employee told me they have much better/newer infant beds that I should have received instead of the old model which i was given.

Great hotel for a little family trip! Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just what we needed, and the staff were great. Would stay again!

Beds not made no towels. Was told we only have bath mats to use. No one cleaned our room the second night and again no towels only bath mats We were here for a basketball tournament and the kid was unable to shower due to no hot water and it's bad he has to dry with a bath mat. This has been unexceptional for this visit

Just a one-night stay (to avoid rushing through bridge tunnel traffic) before an early flight, but... Huge, clean room. We traveled with 3 adults and one toddler, and the room accommodated us all perfectly. Breakfast was way above average, with plenty of options, and plenty of room to move around. Staff was expedient and friendly.
