Hyatt Place Fredericksburg at Mary Washington

We arrived with our kids around 11:40pm. Tired, the weather on the way was awful. Upon arrival, there was only one other person at the desk with the attendant. Unfortunately the checkin process took extremely too long given that there was only one other person checking in. My guess is there was an issue with the other guest checking in, but I’d expect for the attendant to show better judgment to the family with kids arriving late in the evening. With very little acknowledgment or communication, about 10 minutes went by. Finally the guest that was having issues checking in instructed the attendant to check us in. As we had reservations in place, our checkin took roughly a minute. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

Good option for our family of 4 with two teenagers. Comfy beds, clean rooms with roomy floor plan and decent breakfast- if they could just keep the coffee stocked!

Stay was for a family event. Staff was very helpful in making sure we knew locations of events and services. Great breakfast. Very comfortable sofa bed. Great location for the area.

When sharing hotel with 200 baseball kids...you are in for a treat.... noise, dirt, pizza boxes... For $250 a night we expected better.

It is a nice hotel. Good place to stay near plenty of food and attractions. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out was easy. The only complaint I have has to do with the pool. The water smelled funny and there was mold on the pool walls above the water line. After 9 hours in the car, all my kids wanted to do was swim before cleaning up and getting to bed and heading out for the next days drive. Not a huge problem considering the purpose is a place to sleep. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the vicinity looking at for a hotel.

When we stay at a hotel we usually reclean the room. I didn't have any issues during my reclean. My family was pretty comfortable in the room. My kids enjoyed the pool area. The breakfast was good. There was no cream cheese for the bagels 😞, maybe that can be addressed for the future. The fruit, yogurt and breakfast meats were good. The facilities as a whole was good. We seen a few dead bugs in the lobby during checkout that costed them to lose a star in our rating. If I was coming back to Williamsburg VA I would stay there again.

Horrible upon checkin. Rooms were not ready at 9pm at night. Waited around until 10:30pm only to settle for a room that wasn’t even large enough for my family.

Awful. Nice staff but not often enough at front desk, busy doing other things. Disturbed by barking dog. Dogs not restricted to dog floor. Moved to another room, nore dogs. Snarled at in corridors. Screaming children in opposite room. Not dealt with until other guest complaints after 10:00 pm. Cancelled booking for return trip and stayed elsewhere.

We used this hotel as a halfway point to meet up with family for a quick one night visit. Both of our rooms were clean and comfortable. This was our first time traveling with our dog but the hotel was very accommodating. I was a little nervous that a pet-friendly hotel may be less clean or have a dog smell but that wasn’t at all the case. We’ll definitely return in the future!

Upon arrival, front desk staff was pleasant. The room assigned to me had a horrible view of the roof of the hotel with trash items strewn about. The hotel room was covered in remnants of hair from previous guest, so much so there was a hair blob that attached itself to my son from the towel and he freaked out. The continental breakfast had no bread options or milk for the kids cereal. There were empty coffee carafes, leaving guest to have to run about and search for a staff member to brew more. The area overall was untidy and unappealing. But lastly, the issue that screwed the nail in the coffin, I left two hats on the sofa in the room. Came back to the hotel to retrieve and no one had a clue where they were or what i was talking about. Housekeeping never reported the two bulky, very conspicuous clothing items and took it upon themselves to keep the items for themselves. HOUSEKEEPING STOLE MY HATS!!! I Absolutely know I left the items in the room and came back to nothing. I am disgusted and very disappointed to say the least. I will NEVER return to this hotel again!😡😡
