The first room we got didn't have a desk, but we needed one so we asked to be moved. We've stayed here for years and didn't even know they had rooms without desks. The second room was fine, but unless you like to get up at 6 am and are at all sensitive to light, ask for an even numbered room. Even with "blackout" curtains, the morning sun streams into the bedroom right at eye level because the curtains don't quite reach the wall. For years I've complained about the clothes dryer, and they either don't read reviews or they don't care. The dryer that has been there in the free laundry space has never worked well, but this year it didn't work at all. After another guest tried drying his clothes for over 2 hours then giving up with an armload of damp clothes, I put my load in the dryer. After 90 minutes, I reached in and they weren't even warm. Then I happened to notice a sign on the wall that said Sorry, dryer temporarily out of service. Sheesh, would have been nice if that sign was taped to the appliance itself! Finally gave up hope of ever getting clothes dry and ended up draping them over furniture in my room. Either replace the dryer or just close the laundry room. Because we knew we could do laundry, we packed light, but we won't make that mistake again. The staff was friendly and helpful, but please note that the hotel caters to large groups of kids. That's generally ok, but if you arrive when they check in, the elevators are problematic.

I wanted a handicap accessible room for my family. Even though I left a note and called ahead, they didn’t have one reserved for us when we arrived. THEY FIXED IT. If you need a handicap accessible room for a family, consider connecting rooms. They don’t have a handicap accessible rooms for FAMILIES but the extra expense for a room connected to a handicap accessible room is 100% worth it.

From the service to the grounds of this hotel, it is a 10 star hotel. I must say The lady that works in the restaurant ALBA was amazing. Very sweet and always very attentive to our needs. The hotel had Very spacious rooms with a fridge, computer desk, sitting area separated from the beds, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, neurogenic coffee machine, water bottles, and sufficient towels. Our family of 4 loved the stay. The restaurant offers breakfast, buffet style, continental or order from the menu. It is absolutely delicious. The lounge area is very modern and spacious with a huge bar from end to end of the lounge area. The parking, plenty to choose from, huge lot. We went in February, so they had a Photo Booth camera set up with a beautiful back drop for valentines the kids enjoyed this. The restaurants and stores are walking distance. McDonald’s, Target, Jersey mikes, CVS, sushi place, Starbucks, subway, Olive Garden, etc…Overall the best stay we’ve had in Virginia. We will be back in May!k!

I stayed here with my husband and two children (3 and 5 yrs old) in a two queen room and loved it. Very clean and spacious. I especially liked that there was a separate space with an tv and a couch. I was able to watch tv at night while my kids slept. No complaints.

I stayed here with my son while visiting family. Upon entering our room Our light switch didn’t work. The air/ heat was never consistently running at the temp we set. The hotel was very outdated, only 1 elevator worked so waiting for the elevator sometimes took over 10 minutes! I think the final straw for me was when i entered the shower the water was freezing. As i turned the knob it completely fell off. The staff was very nice but honestly you couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

I booked my room three days before I arrived with my family , and when I checked in, they told me we don’t have a room because the hotel fully booked. the only available handicap room with a single bed. When I requested 2 double beds. I been to a lot of hotels over the world and this’s the first time I see something like this. if you don’t have enough rooms why you keep booking and show you have available rooms.

I was here for a week and it was awesome!! Close to everything you need. The rooms are beautiful the way that the hotel has them set up is genius where you actually feel like you have a living room on one side and you can just turn the TV around and then you’re in a bedroom shower great water pressure and beautiful. The gym was good. It has weights and a peloton and to tread mills that didn’t work but to that did the pool is closed and that was fine. I’ve been several times since my family lives in the area and I’ve stayed at Springhill suites and the courtyard now that I have stayed at this Hilton it is my forever home when I am in the Fairfax area. The others just do not compare.

The problem we had was the pool was not available, the property made expedia aware of the issue but expedia did not relay the info. The kids were very disappointed!!!!!
