Over all great place to take the kids for a weekend. They had a lot of activities for the kids and the pool areas were very nice. The room are a very good size for a family. Staff was very friendly. The only bad thing is parking. If you have a lot to carry the parking lot is very far.

We stayed in the lake cottages with loft and this was the highlight of the trip. We are a family of four and my 13 year old daughter brought a friend. The loft, while the ceiling is uncomfortably low for adults, was perfect for them. There were 2 beds up there and a tv so they had a blast. The separate master bedroom had a king bed and was great. Our youngest slept on the sofa bed. The small kitchen area was convenient as well. Customer service was extremely lacked overall. We arrived at 10am knowing that check-in wasn’t until 4. We were basically turned away by the lady at the front desk. She didn’t offer to hold our luggage until our room was ready. When I asked if we could go to the pool she initially declined but then reluctantly gave me a wristband. I have never been treated this way when arriving early at any other hotel or resort. She told me to check back at 1:00 to see if our room was ready. When I came back at 1:00 I was told that my room was ready but I would have to pay a $50 early check-in fee. I declined since this was absolutely ridiculous. The bad customer service continued when a light burnt out in the kitchen of the room and the safe was not working. I called twice the first day and a third time the next morning before someone finally came to fix the safe. The lightbulb was never replaced. The waterpark slides and lazy river were both down for repairs. I will give them a pass on this since there had been flooding on Lake Conroe a week prior.

Not able to use the kids pool area, not open yet. Must have a car as you have to drive for everythGolf course was fun and affordable. ing. (One restaurant and 3 bars.) Had to use valet because self parking kept filling up with a local meeting. We still enjoyed ourselves and will go back.

The resort was great and the room was clean and nice, however there wasn't much restaurants/bars on the property that were actually open. I have food allergies so it was difficult to find much that I could eat so we actually had to leave the property for most meals. Also, the adults only swim area had loud screaming kids in it every time we went down to the pool/Jacuzzi. My husband and I took our trip WITHOUT our kids for a reason. Apparently there was no staff patrolling the area. Parking was a bit confusing on site as well.

We were pleasantly surprised at the fabulous upgrade that is the true resort: Margaritaville, from the years we’d watched the gradual decline of Del Lago (a former favorite). The accommodations are so customized that my daughter and family of 3 were cozy in a loft lake cabin, single son had a roomy lake-view, and my husband and I were ecstatic to have an executive suite where all could gather for private time, games, and snacks. The only downside was the weather that restricted our use of the numerous warm-weather amenities that tempted us into the hot tub and heated pool in spite of cool temperatures. We can’t wait to continue this as an annual family tradition.

The front desk stafff some of them are very rude. I asked one question about the breakfast if it was included. I was talked to like a child, and told next time I needed to pay attention to what my reservation included. The ac did not work in our room we didnt alert anyone because we didnt feel like they would care anyway. I would not stay here again every employee we encountered acted if they were bothered by our questions. Very dissappointed in our stay and it was for our 1 year wedding anniversary

They nickel and dime you with little fees. They charged my room for the bar when I paid with my cc at the bar. The rooms smelled musty. Thought it was more of an adult resort but children everywhere.

I will start with the positives first. The food was great and reasonably priced, the staff there are very friendly. All of the pools area are nice and well maintained and they really do a great job of catering to families with small kids and as well as adults. The lobby is very clean and it smells amazing so they do a very good job of keeping the common areas clean but that is where the cleanliness ends. Our room wasn’t clean at all, the carpet in the living room area was filthy. There was old stains on the carpet and the couch as well. There were spiders and old spider webs in the corner of the rooms and gnats and bugs. The balcony was so gross. There was dead bugs, spider web and dirt everywhere. It looks like they have never bothered to power wash the balconies at all. You pay a $45 daily resort fee but there are no real perks, they also do not clean your room daily unless you request it but considering the resort fee this should be automatically done. Although I appreciate the size of the bathrooms mine wasn’t clean either. There was build up soap scum on the glass in the shower and old brown stains in the tub. I had to send my husband to the store to buy Lysol and sponges so I could clean the bathroom before I felt comfortable bathing my 1 year old in the tub. For the price of this place it’s not worth coming back. Who wants to pay all that money just to have to clean and scrub the place down beforehand?
