La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Conroe

We had difficulty finding the property, as the road was not well marked and was not accessible from the feeder road. However, once I arrived, the property was well lit and the staff were friendly. They accomodated our family by putting us in rooms that were near to each other on the same floor. The rooms were spacious and the beds clean & comfortable. We were at the hotel to attend a wedding nearby, so we were out late. I liked that the main entrance and all exterior doors were made to be room card access only after 9pm. I enjoyed the variety at the breakfast buffet the next morning

We came to the area for a wedding at a nearby venue. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The parking lot was well lit and safety procedures were in place, such as room key access only after 9pm. The kids liked the wide range of pool hours, enabling them to jump in after the wedding as well as in the morning before we checked out. The breakfast had good options for hot or cold preferences. The only glitch wevhad was the TV remote was finicky - probably low battery power.

It was great up until check out. As i was leaving i noticed housekeeping was promptly cleaning rooms which is a good thing. Unfortunately i mistakenly left behind a house warming gift bag that was for me and my family for purchasing our first house. I didnt notice it missing for approximately 3 hours luckily i was still in town. I returned to the hotel showed them pictures of the missing items and the lady i spoke with got very defensive. I explained i wasnt accusing anyone of anything and she talked over me to explain how she trusts her staff and that she asked them if anything was left behind. She then proceeded to tell me her staff has worked there a long time and reports anything thats left behind. So my only question was if they are the only ones that have access to the room then how did my bag of items just disappear. Which she didnt have an answer for then i made a statement that it is going to be weird for someone to use my items that literally have my last name on them.

The hotel was clean. My room was clean and comfortable. Appeared to be recently remodeled and it was nicely done. All staff that I talked with were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was a barking dog in a room nearby and a child screaming down the entire hallway early morning to go to the pool. I don’t think it was the hotel’s fault. I think some of the guests were inconsiderate of others staying there.

We stayed for a week during Christmas and it was great. Housekeeping was incredible. Always checking our room to make sure we had what we needed. Front desk personnel were courteous and helpful. We will certainly stay there again. They allowed my grandchildren to swim in pool even though they didn’t stay with us. Thank you Thank you
