Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Conroe I-45 North, an IHG Hotel

When I booked there was no mention of the elevator being out for over a week. My elder mother has bad knees and struggles to walk neither less walk up flights of stairs. I was unable to get a refund, discount, nor a room on the 1st floor. Only help I recieved was I could park on the side of building the stairs are right inside. Took multiple trips by myself, helping my my mother and small child. Unfortunately, was a one and done for us.

Stayed here for a family trip to Renfest. For the most part, it was ok. Fairly nice place but in need of a few minor updates. Room was mostly clean except for a used pair of contact lenses my wife found on the night stand. Everything in the room worked and our stay was mostly pleasant except for the people upstairs who sounded like they were bowling or something. On our second morning there, I discovered a whole ton of crazy ants attacking our breakfast, which was a package of donuts I had gotten at the Kroger next door that was closed and had been left on the counter above the fridge. We called the front desk and they never did a thing about it. We ended up trying the breakfast they provided in their dining area and it was halfway decent. Just avoided the ants as we ate, packed up and left. Perhaps updated pest control is in order?!

My son and I arrived a little before checkin. The receptionist told us there were no rooms available. I said that we would just sit in the kitchen area because the weather was really bad outside. In a little while she came and retrieved us and said she would upgrade our room because no other one was available and she felt bad that I had my son and he was restless. She offered that she, too had young children and that they are "non-stop."

After a long international flight and the prospects of a long drive home, we decided to stay at the HI Express, Conroe. The check-in was so helpful, ensuring a room with two beds to accommodate family. Upon entering the room, it was already cool (despite the Texas heat), spacious (with room for all our luggage), and comfortable (with soft yet supportive mattresses and ample, comfy pillows). I could not have asked for a better experience. Thanks HI for making me a dedicated customer from now on!

Excellent hotel! and I am a very picky traveler. Room was nice, very clean and comfortable. Quiet hallways and a comfortable bed. And the breakfast was delicious, my kids loved the pancake machine! Would definitely stay here again.
