La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston West Seawall

Got to the hotel and waited at the lobby desk for 10 minutes to be greeted for check in. Got to room, and AC was off and extremely hot and uncomfortable. Hotel pool was green and didn't want my family swimming in it, even though it was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Light bulbs out in a couple of lamps.

I Was unable to Check in to your property due to a family Emergency..After several call and no answer, to infrom the staff ofmy dilemma. I received a csll from someone of your staff at appointment 10pm the same day , he was rude and unprofessional and refuse to give his name i will ne calling Manger in the am so i will not be chargefor the oneday expense..

We had a great stay. My only complaint is that we had kids jumping on the floor above us but it wasn't too late.

Visiting family in Galveston

My family needed a place to stay for the night before our cruise. This turned out to be an excellent choice. We checked in late and was greeted with a great host- who went above and beyond for us.

I booked this stay for our family vacation way before our trip through Hotels.com. We arrived to our Hotel and I checked in received our key etc and went to our room. I am very cautious about bed bugs because I once got bed bugs from a previous hotel stay. So I checked the bed out and wouldn’t you know it, I found bed bug remains and feces. I immediately called the front desk as not to cause a scene for other guests knowing full well one room can have them and another won’t. I asked for another room. Cristos came up to the room and I showed him. He was very rude took us to another room where he watched us in the room. I went to check the bed and he said, “ Are you going to check every time?” And I said yes, he then cut me off and said, We need to go downstairs, I’m going to call my manager”. So we followed him. He called his manager and she told him to cancel the reservation and he told us to go somewhere else. I’ve never been “kicked out” of a hotel stay in my life. I had option to stay. We left, my kids crying, to look for another hotel by the beach. Now understand, I prepaid for this 4 day stay at $700. I eventually found out when he canceled the reservation, it voided out Hotels.com being able to refund the cost. So I ate that money and spent $800 more to find another hotel. I did nothing wrong, my family was treated very unfairly by this disgusting staff and hotel. DO NOT stay here!
