Candlewood Suites Market Center, an IHG Hotel

I stayed 2 nights with my family over here and I found this hotel is comfy, cozy and clean.

The stay was okay, they did allow us to check in early, that was a plus. The tv was cracked, and the shower did not work. We had to repack and move to another room. We did not know it was pet friendly, that wasn’t the issue. The problem was a fur baby pooped in front of our door and no one cared to pick it up. Again the staff was nice but we will not stay at this facility again.

Loved the property. My kids enjoyed the stay as well.

The queen sized bed was more narrow than any I have seen. We stayed during a heat wave and cold water would not come through the pipes. It was hot no matter what for my toddler’s bath. The couch cushions were lumpy and stained. The tv channels did not match their label nor any guides that were shared with me. We had an LG but was given guides for Samsung and Phillips.

Stayed with my family for 1 night. The check in process was easy and the staff was night. When I got to my room I saw that the handle was missing from the refrigerator, a picture had graffiti and one of the televisions was damaged. I went downstairs to ask for towels and report the damage. A new room was never offered and I had to contact them about the towels a total of three times. Now that I am familiar with the area, I will definitely choose another property for my stay in the future.

The lady at the front desk gave us a our room and key at check in and it was a room that was taken already. It was so embarrassing walking in to a couple sleeping. The girl at the front desk didn't even apologized. They had no pool towels and she made a face when I went to ask for some. The shower curtain was dirty but other overall the room was good. The pool was a perfect size and excellent depth for the little ones. Never saw the manager to let him know about the room error.

This Candlewood in the Dallas Medical District off of Stemmons Freeway was the worst hotel I've stayed at. A lot of people say that, but this was truly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I'll get right to the point. We saw cockroaches in our room. We rented out a suite with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. We arrived late and were getting settled in when we saw a cockroach run across the kitchen wall to the cabinets, disappearing in a crack between the wall. This freaked out my wife, but it was late and we didn't want to pack up all our stuff and our kids to try to find another hotel in the middle of the night. So we went to sleep, which was a big mistake. In the middle of the night I woke up to something crawling across my arm. I tried to grab it while half awake, but couldn't. I chalked it up to my imagination. As I was going back to sleep, I felt something run across my hand. Again I tried to convince myself it was just my imagination. A few minutes later I felt something crawling on my head. I jumped out of bed, flipped on the lights and flailed at my head. Lo and behold a small cockroach fell onto my pillow. A clearly golden brown cockroach had been on my head. My skin crawls just thinking about it. We didn't get any more sleep the rest of that night. We checked out first thing in the morning after waking up all the kids and packing everything up. The only good thing I can say is that they agreed to cancel our reservation and refund us our one night charge.

I was so grateful Kevin would come pick me up after midnight from a delayed flight. I was put in a very comfortable and clean room. Slept like a baby. I always feel safe staying here and I leave my car.
