Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham College Station

Room was fine, bed comfortable, staff amazing and tentative, and hotel was clean. Very disappointed in what is served as breakfast included. Please start advertising continental breakfast included. We were in town for a sporting event and the kids needed breakfast ! We saw biscuits frozen from Walmart being dropped off to be microwaved.

Came to watch grandkids play sports. Hotel was close and easy to get to the games

Stayed at this hotel because it was one of the few available for the weekend that we needed it due to an event in CS. The reviews from others were good. The hotel is very run down & the breakfast is a joke. We just looked at it and decided to pass. Not very clean; our room was skipped for cleaning when we arrived back late to the room, so we just asked for a swap of towels. Towels are thin & feel like sand paper. Room rates were extremely high for the weekend that we were there…. Feel like we were robbed. It may be worth $79/ night at best…. unfortunately I paid 3 times that amount. Surely the ‘good’ reviews that I had read are fake…. Maybe from the staff, friends & family of the owners, etc.???? Would NOT recommend this hotel.

There were a lot of kids at the hotel and they were running up and down the hall that one in the morning. I blame that on the parents, not the hotel. Other than that the stay was very pleasant.

The hotel was in a great location, easy to access, and clean. The air conditioning in the room took a very long time to cool and when it did, it would only blow cool air for a short period of time.The room was very uncomfortable and muggy. I really wanted to like this hotel everything was great but the room itself. The front desk wasn’t very much help in regards to the a.c. very disappointed. I was on vacation with my children and needless to say got very little sleep & relaxation due to the humidity and discomfort of the room.

We booked the Microtel for a stay in College Station to visit Santa's Wonderland with out kids. I booked the room for 2 adults and 2 kids, 15 and 9. First off - the hotel was very clean, our room was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately when we went down to the front desk the attendant was on the phone and didn't look up to acknowledge us for at least 3 minutes, when we asked for an extra blanket (my son was getting sick and we didn't want him in the same bed as his sister) we were told they do not have any extra blankets. Not one, in the whole hotel. I don't understand that - then the next day when we told the new attendant about it, they said we should've gotten our blanket.

Front desk person had to enter our room twice to pair the remote control to the TV. Which never did get fixed. Ice bucket still had water from previous patron. Front desk person brought up another ice bucket. A dirty/sticky bucket that we were not able to use. The location of the hotel is not safe for families.

Lets start with good part: 1) Room was as shown in picture on website 2) Room looked remodelled and in good condition Now the worst part: 1) Room had only 2 lights. One near window and another near bed. We felt it was insufficient. 2) No coffer make in room 3) Bed was double bed and not queen bed 4) Towel was very very small. I meant, the towel size was sufficient for kid, not for adult 5) Me and my kid flip flop went missing from room. Not sure if room service took it or threw it. I already informed front desk about it. 6) Breakfast was OK. Waffle batter was out. Next day, they just kept left over from hot breakfast in slow cooker 7) Elevator was stinky and not clean. Even corridors smelled wierd/stinky. 8) TV did NOT work most time, as it was DISH network tv. So we have to resert (remove card) few times to make it work. 9) Not enough parking in front. Only 5 cars can park in front. 10) Motel is besides Quality Inn, which is closed. There is another small motel in front of it, which is also closed. So have to be vigilant about locking cars and taking stuff to your room. Had seen few people drinking in parking lot. 11) Hotel is located near highway, so you can hear outside vehicles noise at late night 12) Trash can did NOT had plastic bags in it. So if you put anystuff (wrappers/sauce pouch), it would stick to it. Overall I would rate it disappointing, due to above.
