Super disappointed the pool was closed. The staff was pretty weird about it in front of kids. The only reason we booked hotel was the pool.

We booked a hotel in Memphis on our family road trip so we could have a pool for this one night and the pool is closed at this facility. It’s bike night on Beale Street and so loud and crazy so not having the pool is a real bummer. We should have stuck with Airbnb.

Check in was east. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. We came for a Grizzlies game with 2 children and the hotel was almost right across the street. Which was a major plus. Rooms very clean and beds very comfy.

The room was comfortably sized for a family of four but could probably use a little deeper clean. The hallway, lobby, and especially the elevators were kind of grungy appearing and could use updating, which I found surprising because all of the other Hampton Inns I have been to have been kept up better than that. The bed was very comfortable and the thermostat was responsive. The street noise was understandably significant, and they do provide two pairs of ear plugs. If you are traveling with young children, I would strongly recommend bringing a white noise machine that can be turned up pretty loud. The building seemed very secure since pretty much every door requires a key for entry. We chose this property largely because it has an indoor pool which we really hyped up for our two kids. We were all very disappointed because the pool was absolutely frigid. There is no way that it was heated by anything other the environmental air. The water couldn’t have been much more than 70-72 degrees, which is substantially off the mark for an indoor pool (usually low to mid 80s). There were few luggage racks, which made shuffling bags in and out of the place kind of a pain. Only one of the two elevators was in service, so it took a really long time to get up to your room and down to the lobby. While the staff were generally superb, we observed several instances of staff members hopping on the crowded elevator ahead of hotel guests, which seemed a little unprofessional.

We was in Memphis for a Grizzly’s game. The hotel was about a block and a half away from the FedEx Forum so it was a easy walk to get there. It’s also just a block from Beale Street. Check in was quick, once we got to the room we realized it was not the room we booked. Went to the front desk and they made it right. Everyone that worked there was super nice to my family. Great location, would highly recommend!

It is obvious that very little commitment is made to upkeep and maintenance at this property. One of the two guest elevators was out of order upon arrival of our 2-night stay and there were no indications that repairs were imminent. The indoor pool was frigid and was one reason for our staying there with 2 children. The breakfast meat was poor quality. There was food left on n the refrigerator in our room. The general condition of the hotel interior was poor and floors, particularly in the elevator, were visibly dirty. Our primary reason for staying here was the hotel’s proximity to the FedEx Forum, but the Hotel experience and cost combined with the area having a lack of law enforcement presence during normal hours with no event crowds was disappointing.
