Kimpton Aertson Hotel, an IHG Hotel

AC was not in good working order. Had to move rooms due to noise from the unit. Same thing happened to another family we were traveling w/. Not offering coffee maker in room is a real pain

We checked in with another family- their toilet had literal boiling water in the toilet- they were moved to another room- our room smelled like someone had vomited in the room- we told it to the staff and they sent someone a day later to clean the carpet in one area- when they were finished they laid a few towels on top because it was damp- the smell never went away- the whole carpet was dirty and gross- The ac didn’t work well and the shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. So disappointing for a kimpton hotel. The staff were friendly enough but the room we had put me off for the whole stay- it was $1400 for our stay and not worth it at all. The location is good , parking is easy , the pool is nice but had to be closed thanks to another guest dropping a glass bottle of wine on the side of the pool. So sadly it’s not a good review from us- we don’t recommend staying here.

Our hotel room (both times) had hair in the shower and on the bathroom floors. Carpeting was also dirty. Shower grout was moldy. General areas looked like they hadn’t been maintained over time. Dirty, scuffed, broken, unkempt. Trash at front entry. Dining service was okay. Waiter nice, but didn’t clear table without being prompted. Door to balcony in our most recent room was wide open upon entry and would not lock which would have been very unsafe had it not been for our kids being older. Pool was not open.
