Holiday Inn Express & Suites Goodlettsville N - Nashville, an IHG Hotel

This hotel was nice, but the maintenance really needs to visit the room. We were in a handicap accessible room. We had a lot of issue with the key entry. My biggest issue with the room was the flashing smoke detector. It was very disturbing. The HVAC unit rattles when it comes on. The soap in the shower wasn't locked in so we had to hold it on the wall to use it. The faucet (part you turn water on) in the shower was loose so when you set it to the temp you want, it slowly falls and the water gets hotter. Not safe if we had our kids with us. The bathroom lighting was very dim and I'm pretty sure the fan wasn't working. I know this is a lot of not great, but it was a clean room and comfortable bed. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel. I doubt all their rooms have problems.

The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer, more professional and attentive. Sadly, the hotel is located near a large LaCrosse field that hosts tournaments and we had kids playing ‘ding dong ditch it’ at our door while running the halls most of the night (no parents nearby, not the hotel’s fault).

We are a family of 5, so it’s nice to have a room available with 2 beds and a pull out sofa. My issue is, if the room is big enough for 6 people and reserved for 5, why do they only supply 3 towels. Not a huge deal, but kind of frustrating. We had our dog with us, so it was nice that this hotel is pet friendly with designated place for potty with a side entrance so our grumpy dog wasn’t exposed to too many people. The front counter staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful, but I feel like the breakfast staff are very slow and sometimes rude. They are supposed to have the breakfast out from 6-9:30 on weekdays but my husband missed breakfast due to them being later than 6. Then on a couple occasions they didn’t keep supplied until 9:30. Also, the pool didn’t have towels supplied and had to go ask for that. I think our biggest issue (especially with 5 people in a room) was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. It was so hot and smelly, the water temperature and pressure was very unreliable. Overall, it was clean, and nothing terrible. These issues being addressed would make this hotel awesome.

We decided to take our dog on our trip, found a pet friendly hotel. When it came time to check out, NO WHERE did it state there is a $50 charge our dog. It asks how many adults and children. Get to the hotel, check in, I was told that I had to pay an additional $50 plus tax for my dog - $59.16. YIKES, it's late I can't cancel. I have to pay it, we need sleep. The person that checked me in said, you booked thru a 3rd party site, if you would have booked thru Holiday Inn site you would have seen it to know you had to pay it. Well, I did look at the Holdiay Inn web site, went thru to book a hotel room and NO IT DOES NOT when it comes time to pay. I have taken my dog on many trips booked pet friend hotels and NEVER been charged. We consumers need to know this, up front. BEWARE PET FRIENDLY CHARGE $$$$$

This is not my first time staying here. It’s a clean, convenient location with walking access to the supermarket and a few eateries. It’s an easy Uber from the airport. We don’t usually go to downtown Nashville but stay here while visiting family. The breakfast is very good and the staff is super friendly.

Inexpensive, clean and spacious- perfect for a quick stay for our family of 5.

The check in was terrible. There was no one at the front desk and there were multiple families waiting to check in. We knocked on the office door and no one answered and some one even dialed the front desk and no one answered the phone. Finally someone located a worker that had an attitude to come check people in and someone just happened to come from the office area at the same time to check in people.

The indoor pool was great for our child and the breakfast options were really good. The room was beautifully remodeled and the staff was great about getting us the stuff we needed, when asked.

Cleanest hotel I have stayed at in a long time. All employees were super nice, even the food staff. The breakfast was amazing for free breakfast! Swimming pool was clean and well kept l. My family would most definitely stay here again if we are in the area!
