The Edwin Hotel, Autograph Collection

We always stay here when we visit family in town. Love the style and location of the hotel and especially love the scent in the lobby. We bought a candle to take home with us on this visit. Coffee shop in lobby is excellent too.

Greatest location right by the walking bridge. Fun for family of 4. The 2 queen bedroom was a little tight with 2 teens, but we weren’t in the room much and we slept great. Fun roof pool and gym for everyone! Will definitely stay here again.

When we got to our room it was as hot as a sauna. They had to send in engineering to “reprogram” the thermostat. I would think that rooms would be checked before a guest arrives. Also our mini fridge was frosted over with a 1 foot square of ice, which shows,again, our room was not inspected before our arrival. While there is a K-cup coffee maker in the room my husband and I don’t like to use these as they put a lot of plastic in the land fill so we usually get coffee in the lobby of the hotel. Most “high end” hotels offer this complimentary but the Edwin charges $3 a cup. The best thing about this hotel is the roof top bar. However it is run by staff not affiliated with the hotel which is very obvious by their excellent service. I understand that most hotels are short staffed but here you have to ask even for the most basic services. We have family in the area and will be visiting Chattanooga regularly but will choose a different hotel next time.
