I suppose we stayed in the "old" section of the hotel. The room was not cleaned properly, it was old, we stayed in a suite and the door knob between the two rooms kept falling off. The staff was busy and not very friendly. if theres a wedding, expect to wait 15-20 minutes every time you need the elevator. No dining options after 9 PM if you have kids under 18 when traveling, SO if your flights are delayed from a storm and you get in at 930 PM with a sleeping infant in a carrier.... expect to be rudely turned away and be on your own. We stayed here because it was the only hotel available with a suite downtown and we needed extra room for our infant's crib... we would have been better off cramming into one of the more reputable hotels we considered instead.

We loved the interactive history of the whole place, family friendly, yet refined. We love the 311 Room. We had to walk by and take a look! Oh, wait best of all, the staff was helpful, also interactive and kind.

Overall, it was a great stay despite having a mishap, which the manager took care of it and quickly. The pool floor needs to be redone but it's ok to swim in it. Would definitely visit. This trip was a family one and the first one was a girl's weekend trip. The steakhouse is phenomenal! The food and the ambiance of the place is great for both adults only or with a family.

I loved the vibe and interior design and decoration of The Read House. The staff were so friendly and amazing! The food was delicious!! The history of The Read House, I find extremely interesting. The pool was amazing and so much fun. I like how it didn’t go too deep and kids could play without the fear of them wandering into a deep end. Very nice and fancy place. Will stay here anytime I’m in Chattanooga!!! 10 out of 10 stars!!

This place was incredible. Every single staff member we came in contact with was delightful and it could not have been better. Kurt at the front desk was amazing as well as the staff at the bar. Our family enjoyed our time there immensely and can NOT wait to go back!

I would live in this hotel if I could. My only complaint was the pool was closed for a part of 2 days and we stayed so our kids could swim, but it was not the hotels fault. A accident in the pool closed it, and even though our kids were mad it was still an amazing hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly as well. The rooms were top notch and very upscale and comfortable. I’d stay here every time.
