Hyatt Place North Charleston

We have stayed here twice and each time, the rooms have been nice and clean. Beds are a little firm but that's a personal opinion. The only thing that a minor inconvenience especially with a young child, is there is no microwave in the rooms. The staff at check in were very professional and nice. Love the noon check out as well. Would still recommend and stay again.

Unfortunately, our room was not ready upon our arrival and after the 3pm published checkin time. We had been on the road for over 6 hours, traveling with 2 dogs and had dinner plans with family. So, it was very inconvenient to have to wait for our room. Once we did get checked in and to our room, we were very pleased. The room was spacious, and clean and more than accommodated our needs. To the hotels defense, they were full with guests in town for a baseball tournament...so I will cut them a little slack. I would recommend this hotel and will use them in the future when traveling to the area. Also, one of the elevators needs some vitamins...it is sooooo slow.

First room we were given had 2 steel bed frame poles protruding from the middle of the bed… the second room room 402 had a “baby roach” running around in the bathroom floor. Other options would have made more sense … keep looking.

This property is average. Nothing over the top but serves for the purpose it was needed for. A clean safe place for me and my children to rest.

We brought our grand kids here for a special day. They loved the indoor pool. Spent hours in there.

Hotel itself was very nice. The room was very spacious and clean and continental breakfast had many options to choose from. However; the front desk staff was very rude!! We ran into another family who also, had a horrible experience with the front desk at check in (they just so happened to also use Hotels.com to book their room). It made it so that we will not go there again. Our refrigerator was working properly, so we called the front desk to let them know. They stated a maintenance person would be coming to look at it and 2 days later, they still had not come.

Pro: Rooms provided enough space for children and adults to be comfortable. Con: One of the 2 elevators was not working.

Upon check in I arrived with my child and we were given a room key to another persons room which freaked my daughter out. Luckily the individual was not unclothed. After I realized the room was occupied and valuables were in bed I quickly closed the door and there was clearly a “come later” tag on the door. The front desk assisted quickly however I had to get a wheelchair accessible room the room I booked was unavailable

Nasty rooms, holes in sheets! I asked for the sheets to be changed they never did I was there 5 days. There was no laundry bag even though I asked for one. The TV wouldn’t work at times the AC would not cool below 71° even though I put it to 68°. There was what looked to be mold in the bathroom rust in the shower or they keep the towels I never got clean towels just the towels that I had in the room when I checked in I asked for them to give me a fresh towels they completely forgot I was very extremely disappointed with this hotel. The night staff could care less there’s a lot of kids hanging out in the parking lot of to no good. It just wasn’t the experience I was hoping to have at least if they would’ve clean the sheets by changing them and giving me sheets with the holes and bringing me fresh towels and giving me a laundry bag I would’ve been happier they did none of that.

My family and I enjoyed the rooms that were provided along with the hotel amenities. The kids enjoyed the pool area and the adults enjoyed the free breakfast served. We would definitely recommend this to our friends.
