I liked that they had available rooms, 10 minutes later all were booked. Adults couldn’t use the pool, kids were playing volleyball in it.

I was put in a wrong room … requested a king suite but was booked in a plain king. Front desk said they could do nothing. Then after I totally unpacked, GM called to offer me something from their sweet treats area… big woop! That wasn’t a couch for my son to sleep on. Luckily other family members allowed him to sleep on their sofa. When GM realized they were going to get bad review… suddenly she was trying to switch things around to give me new room. I informed her I had already unpacked and made other arrangements. Every time I was with my family she made an appearance which was rather annoying and very unprofessional given the situation.

The only negative thing is, it said a separate room with sleeper room but it was really in the same room. I was looking for privacy from my adult children and that wasn’t the case

The hotel needs some serious updating! Our air and fridge were not working properly. We called the front desk multiple times and never received any help. We were also given a half roll of tissue for a family of four to use. In order to get more, we had to go to the front desk. The not so friendly lady working the desk was not helpful at all.

Pros: booked same day after 4pm due to an Airbnb failure, property accommodated us. Staff were responsive to issues. Cons: moved out of first room due to noisy/broken aircon. Second room had maintenance in so we had to wait until the man finished and removed his equipment- front desk didnt know he was still there. Courtyard pool was noisy with children yelling and hanging off of the handicap pool equipment. Very disrespectful and property staff did nothing. Property condition was okay. The room was clean. There appeared to be an issue with the elevator previously as the wallpaper on the fourth floor was stripped from that wall and there was a visible stain. The parking was convenient and plentiful. Property was convenient to nearby dining and interstate access and only 20 minutes to Charleston for downtown touring and beachgoing.

The staff was very professional and provided excellent customer service. They extended extra care in commuting to visit family in Nursing Home and the cookies were a delightful treat!!!!! Overall excellent!!!

Hotel didn’t have our reserved room. Wanted our minor kids to stay across the hall in a separate room because the family suite we reserved wasn’t available. We ended up having to go buy a air mattress for my daughter to sleep on. When we asked for extra sheets/pillow we were told we’d have to come get them ourselves. Air conditioning in room is very loud and rattled the whole time. The front desk said they would inform us when our family suite was available…..that never happens on our 4 day stay…..would highly recommend picking a different hotel. Breakfast was good, but service was less than friendly.

I was very impressed with Double Tree overall. The lobby was inviting; the room was spacious and very clean; shout out to Mr. J Wall at the front desk who made us feel like family instead of visitors. Anytime I am in Charleston, Double Tree will be my place to stay. I definitely will recommend it to those I know who will be travelling that way.

There was profanity written on wall behind tv. Coffee machine had old coffee pods in it still. Toilet seat was broken. Sheets had burn marks on them. Bartender was extremely rude to my family and I bit ended up apologizing but was still snarky afterwards. We drove 15 hours for my a family members graduation and didn’t appreciate the hassle for sure.
