Courtyard by Marriott Charleston-North Charleston

Not sure how to rate this property. Overall the property was clean, our room was nice. But, I need to rewind. I arrived early, prior to 4pm. I was hoping to check in early. When I arrived I was informed there were no elevators, so i waited hoping when i returned they would be. The front desk was very helpful when I returned, I was on the first floor. I had a king size bed with a sofa bed for my son. When we were about to turned in for the night, there was no bedding for the sofa bed. Which I had to get from the front desk. It would be nice to have it in the room. The front desk staff was somewhat understanding. I would suggest when busy thet stay off their phone. The staff was somewhat pleasant, but this is after a few days. I've had family members come in the next few days, no towels in the Room, which they had to go back to the front office at 12 am. I wa s told the hotel bar would be open at 4pm, then 6pm which never happened. I try to stay at a Marriott hotel, and to my surprise I had to pay for breakfast, which was not always available.. There are many things that can be improved on, thank goodness for free coffee and tea. When I did have breakfast it was good. This could be a great property with the proper staff. I would like to give a big shout to an employee ( I don’t have his name) but this gentleman worked his as off, making sure the lobby was clean. Would I stay here again, no

This property was conveniently located a festival I was attending and the hotel itself was very clean and well kept. The fire pit on the outside patio was a plus as well as the pool. The rooms were spacious enough for myself and 1 other adult and two small children and the shower was great. The beds were very comfortable but the sink was a very slow drain. I personally love the Marriott brand and would definitely stay there again. They did have breakfast but I didn't partake myself but the coffee was good. The dining options in the area were limited but good food could definitely be found within a 15 minute drive.

Linens smelt a little funky. 2 towels only for a family of 4. Ask for 2 more and they didn’t have any ?!! Thinking people may be living on Property and not guests. Very shady…

I had a poor stay due to loud children in rooms next to me and above me and the stairs right next to me them slamming footings and running up and down stairs the entire night. And their parents weren’t any better as they we out in the hallway loud all night. I want a refund.

Location was good, staff was good. Noisy because parents were letting kids run up and down halls. Security guard was useless. I have never stayed at a Marriott that charges for breakfast. That's rediculous.

Room was large and clean for a family of 3 traveling with pets. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the area around the hotel was disappointing. No real restaurant options with out getting back in the car. I was not aware of a pet fee upon check in $75.

The counter girl needed to smile more, When I booked 4 rooms and asked for us all be on the same floor or even having a door in each room so we can go back and forth without going out in the hallway, they said they could not guarantee this but with a couple weeks notice, I would think they could of done better job for us, we were all on floors 2, 3, 4 ugh-- No where next to each other either!! I wished they had the free cont. breakfast like other hotels. But other than that it was a great place. I am always very worried about the mattress not being good for my back BUT this mattress was excellent!! I slept like a baby!!!!

Very nice place to stay. We just did an overnight because I had an early morning business meeting. Brought the family for a quick get away. There was plenty to do close by with them, and my meeting was less than a mile away. Great location Comfortable room Friendly staff Overall very clean and well kept

The bed was very comfortable, with black out curtains I slept like a baby. The courtyard was a great place to end our busy days by the fireplace

It was very comfortable and relaxing. The hospitality was wonderful! Cant complain about anything. The property is so spacious and clean and offers everything. Will be back and bring family.
