The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

I wish I could provide a 5-star review but in this instance I can't. I would absolutely stay there again, but this time around there was a problem with the boilers and at least a wing of the property lost hot water. While they fixed it within about 1/2 a day, the pool, which is the main draw, went from luke warm on day 1 to too cold to use by day 3. Other than small kids who don't know any better, there were no adults in the pool at all by day 3, it was just too cold, even though it was plenty warm outside. The property also isn't very conveniently located and no little grocery store / inexpensive dining available so keep that in mind if you're planning to stay.

Great hotel with perfect amenities to stay in the Charleston area and avoid the downtown. Very clean and quiet plus there are lots of things you can do within walking distance or the convenience of the water taxis or hotel shuttles that take you to the downtown area. If I were to recommend something for management is to have some microwave ovens in the common area where one can get coffee. Could not warm up some leftovers my family had. No big deal but it’s a good to have.

This was a beautiful property and so family friendly. The only negative thing I would say is that it is far from everything so you have to ride the shuttle which runs every hour or Uber if you don’t have a vehicle on site. But we loved this place!

This was a splurge for our family on a little staycation and I wasn’t impressed and regretting we spent $1200 for three nights here. The pool area is pretty filthy, I took my son in there on Monday morning and it was so murky, and mold all along the grout and debris all in the pool as well. On the day we left (Wednesday) we went in because there was a very nice gentleman cleaning it and was doing a great job, the water looked crystal clear so we enjoyed the rest of the time we could. Day one, we couldn’t check in early, so we went to the tiki bar- again- with our 1 year old in tow and it’s 98 degrees outside so we try to get a drink, there was one man working the bar and a small line of people, we get in line, but more and more people come from the pool who jump ahead of the line with other people they know and zero regulation taking place so we kept getting put back further and further and after waiting 35 minutes we just walked away. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The TVs for a “luxury resort” are laughable. It’s 2024, and you charge way too much to have basic cable on a tv that loses signal each time it rains. Get smart TVs with streaming apps so you can catch up with the rest of the world. It rained heavily all day one day and the tv lost signal and we couldn’t do anything else out. The food was awful and over priced at the hotel and there’s nothing on the inside of the hotel to access. So when it’s raining, enjoy having to get soaked if you need food or drink.

The place was clean. We stayed on the beach club side. The beds slept good. A/c got cool enough. As for outside. They have two pools. They should make one adult and one family. They only have one small hot tube for the whole resort. They need two. Also they need to choose a different night to do chemicals in the pool than on a Saturday night. That was not excepting at all for what was paid to stay there and not be able to enjoy it.

My husband and I had a great stay. Very relaxing. The only issue we had was our room was not very tidy when we walked in. There were random drawers open in the night stands, dressers and in the bathroom vanity. The extra towels in the basket under the vanity were not cleaned very well, one looked to have been used to wipe off makeup. One of the bathroom sinks had residue in it but the other was clean. It almost seemed like maybe someone came in before us to get ready and left. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable. Overall the stay was great and we hope to come back as a family in the summer!

We enjoyed our visit. The resort is beautiful. The only small issue is that I booked a studio suite that ended up not having any heat. The room we moved to was smaller even though it was supposed to be an upgrade. The move was complimentary, so I won’t complain. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We will be back with our children next time. Thank you for the southern hospitality.

Beautiful property! We loved the Beach Club! We stayed there for 5 days with small children and it was a lovely place!
