Overall we had good experience staying at the hotel. The rooms and hotel was clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, we were not happy with breakfast options. Being Began/Vegetarian, we could not find anything hot to eat as everything including bread/bagel had eggs. The only hot item we could get on some days were hash browns. We would highly recommend for Residence Inn to consider including some vegetable options in the breakfast which is not only health for everyone in particular for kids, but can be taken by both Vegetarian and Non Vegetarians.

This is a very nice property at Myrtle Beach. The hot breakfast bar is nice. Staff just need to ensure a steady flow of food is kept throughout the breakfast time. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and view of ocean. Pool does not have a lot of lazy rivers, kiddie attractions like some of the other hotels. However, this hotel is right on the beach, much nicer, rooms are clean, staff are responsive and quick so it gets my approval all around! Extra bonus is the walk to the beach with a lifeguard station in front of the hotel is right out your door. And there's lots of parking not like some other places in MB! The area around the hotel has become run down post pandemic, but that's not the hotel's fault. If you stay primarily at this hotel, and dine at nicer restaurants in North MB you'll be fine. Suggest Barefoot Landing and the Pirates Voyage as well which are nearby.

Hotel felt like a dog kennel. Dog poop everywhere outside. Can’t walk without shoes on your feet. Dogs in the common area where breakfast was served! Fee for using towels is totally ridiculous! Hidden fees of $15 per day fir bottled water that was given ti us on arrival. I will NEVER stay here again! Find another hotel for you or your family!!!

I loved the convenience of access to the beach and surrounding attractions. The staff was great especially Ms. Teresa in the dining room. She greeted us every morning for breakfast with a big smile and kind words. She always asked how we were enjoying our stay. She made us feel like we were guests at her home. Other employees we encountered were friendly and welcoming as well. From housekeeping, front desk, pool personnel, etc. This is why when we planned our second family vacation since Covid we knew we wanted to go back to Residence Inn Marriott Oceanfront Myrtel Beach.

The hotel itself was GrEAT its right on the beach the view was to die for, the checking in management was okay I guess they was having a bad day or something because everyone was given complementary items but me and my family and there was a delay on us getting into our hotel. The trip it self was very pleasing. The lady that checked us out was very sweet.

Beware! Although a beautiful hotel, very clean, perfect beach location their policies only apply to some. We were charged $150 for our black lab per their policy, non refundable. We arrived at 6pm and left at 8am. I was annoyed but had misread the fine print so accepted it. Until we got in the elevator with another couple and their dog only to find out they were not charged. This triggered us to ask other guests and turns out not everyone is charged the fee. So we will not return nor do I recommend staying here with a pet! One family said “they told us about it but then said they waived it and we’ve been here for a week.” Oh nice we were there for 14 hours and our grand total was over $300. Never again!

Check in was easy, gentlemen who checked me in was great.... the older lady with glasses working with him was not so great. The parking deck is VERY tight for an SUV. Elevator situation is to be expected in 100+ room beachside hotel over 17 floors during summer so no big deal. Breakfast every day awesome, great food, choices, always plentiful. Beds/pillows were average. Shower gets water everywhere. There was a pile of trash on the carpet outside our room every day, no one ever vacuumed & the room by the ice maker had huge bags of trash all week & stunk due to the heat. The pool was always dirty. The little splash pad for the kids was really boring & small. Trash around the pool & clumps of wet tissue. The chair cushions have mold/mildew. Beach towels are provided which is awesome. I can't say enough good things about the view & proximity to the beach though. Anything we asked for, the staff was ready to accommodate. Overall, I would consider staying again.

My husband and I enjoyed having our two large dogs along for vacation, also. They are apart of our family and we would have had an extra expense and worry, had we not been accommodated. We did not have to sacrifice cleanliness, or quality for our animals to be with us. Thank you, Residence Inn!

The property was oceanfront, as described. The dining area and view of the ocean from the dining area was lovely. There was a fitness center, a nice pool, and an attached parking deck (which is extremely convenient, compared to other hotels in the area). Our room layout was nice; nice upgraded kitchen with full refrigerator, upgraded bathroom with great quality shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Nice swivel television, nice floors - the design was perfect!
However, our room was disgusting. The coffee pot in the room had sticky residue in the bottom, so obviously it had not been cleaned. The tub had soapy grime on the bottom of it...To top everything off, the duvets and covers were stained with urine. When I pulled the covers off, there were bedbug droppings in the crevices of the both mattresses. Management and maintenance came up to inspect the mattresses and claimed to not have found anything (as if they had no idea that bedbugs hide and that, if you're placing white sheets on top of mattresses, there's no way that black specks of bedbug waste would appear. The Manager tried to tell me that what I was seeing was dust mites (LIES) - if that were the case, why aren't you ensuring that your housekeepers vacuum as they should? When they pulled the mattresses off of the base, there was food, child palm-sized dust bunnies, liquid...our room had not been cleaned at all. I will not return to this property and I advise every person reading to stay away, as well.
