Holiday Sands North On the Boardwalk

The staff were not helpful. We stayed for a week and our room got cleaned once because we had to call and ask and they told us it would be the next day before they could do it, but always seen cleaning people sitting in rooms. The place smelled like marijuana everywhere you went outside of the room and we had two children with us. Never had clean towels unless you went and got them yourself which is very inconvenient. Had to change our own trash and was told to leave it and dirty towels outside of the room so the hall was filled with everyone’s towels and trash. Asked for towels and was told they’d see what they could do. Overall an alright place to stay because we weren’t there often but to sleep and shower. Definitely not very accommodating.

Awesome stay!!! Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Definitely recommending it to all my friends and family!

We enjoyed our stay, the staff & pool. The view is unforgettable as well as the many many options of places to eat & things to do! Is this a luxury resort no, we didn’t want that. We found a nice down home feeling family friendly place. Ya little wear & some minor updating needed, but when traveling with 3 feral children it was perfect! Clean & inviting.

Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Loved the indoor pool, kiddie area & jacuzzi. The room wasn’t as clean as I hoped because the floors were sandy & no broom or dustpan was in the room, the pillow cases didn’t look clean, neither did the blanket. The tub was outdated (rusty, knob had built up dirt around it) but the view of the beach was lovely & the location was walking distance from restaurants & entertainment. I say ok hotel for a night or 2.

I chose this hotel for my family due to an indoor pool and onsite restaurant. Our plan was to have breakfast at the hotel and spend the afternoon in the pool. The restaurant was never opened the whole time we stayed which caused us to have to leave for breakfast throwing off our plans. When discussed with the front desk they showed no concern whatsoever. Then they claimed the website says seasonal restaurant which it doesn't not say anywhere on their site. They continued to argue the matter with me. The room was very run down with chips, holes and rotting wood on the doors. The microwave was dirty and there were stains on the mattress covers. The carpet was nasty. The price was right but I will definitely pay more for a better establishment next time.

We stayed 5 days at the Hotel Sands north. Bhave all ready booked for another family trip. All the staff were very friendly and we were well taken care of. This is now our to go hotel when in Myrtle beach. I will never have to search for hotels. Thank you Hotel Sands Hotel. Suzan Creek

It was right on the ocean, however it had a solid door onto the balcony and you could not leave it open at night to hear the waves or get a good breeze because it would open completely or bugs came in. It was very outdated. It did resemble the advertised pictures but it didn't show that the doors were old and peeling with bugs inside, it didn't show the caulk missing around the tub, or the unlevel spots in the floor and the linoleum peeling. It also made no mention in the ad that they were fumigating for baby cockroaches, I killed 6 in the room in 2 days. The advertisement said a restaurant with a daily breakfast buffet, but it was not open. I understand it being the off season, so mention that in your information! The water was warm but never got hot in the shower.

Can't beat it for the price. The sheets and comfortable are cheaper. Could use some updating. Exterior of the fridge was rusty. Overall a great deal for the price, ocean view room , two queen beds, clean room. We were literally just sleeping there. It wasnt a big deal. My kid enjoyed the pool, everyone was friendly. Affordable getaway without breaking the bank. Least favorite thing was the shower head , it had no pressure...it was hard to take a shower.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel, but the price and location was what I was looking for. Me, my spouse and two kids stayed in 701 in the south tower August 22-28th. I'm a housekeeping manager for an upscale hotel so I inspected the room thoroughly after we checked in. I was super impressed by the cleanliness. The view and balcony were great! Kids had so much fun in the pools. Since covid daily housekeeping at many hotels has ceased but this hotel leaves a bag outside your door with linen and toiletries daily. Everyday when I left dirty towels and garbage outside the door it was picked up very quickly!! The only issues with the room were the jacuzzi tub in our bathroom didn't work and the ac going to the one bedroom wasn't very cold. But it was only minor issues not a big deal! We ate at the Cafe in the hotel, the server was very friendly and food and pricing was good! All the employees working here were very helpful and friendly. Definitely will recommend this hotel and will come back again!
