Homewood Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront

This was my first time here. Everything from checking in to checking out was excellent! My family and I will return. Thank you everyone!

Super confusing on how to check in. We had to ask valet where to check in, which the lobby is on the 3rd floor it was so confusing. Valet was $25 a day which is insane. Especially if you come and go a lot, and don’t want someone else in your car. If you didn’t valet you have to pay $3 an hour for parking at a meter. Area is on the south end of town, it’s a little ghetto. Wouldn’t take my kids here. Homeless people were seen and if you don’t get an ocean view your view is of a ghetto grocery and cash title store. Not appealing for the price and an ocean vacation. I would never stay here again. Staff was nice, not their fault. Location and logistics are terrible. Worth maybe $65 a night not $150.

Great hotel! Very comfortable and roomy for the family. Wonderful beach access and water park at the hotel. The only complaint is that they had one elevator not working and the remaining 3 were extremely slow. There were wait times in excess of 25 minutes for some people for elevators.

Beautiful spacious room (king suite with city view). Updated decor in lobby and rooms. Had a terrific city view from our balcony and a peekaboo view of the ocean on a side balcony because our room was on the end side of the hotel (room 1102). Pool area great for kids with lazy river, slides, splash toys etc. Beach access was super easy and there was a beautiful lawn area with lawn chairs for lounging on the property at the ocean view. Only slight con was the elevators could be packed at times because they only had 1 elevator tower (with 4 doors). Just slightly inconvenient but did not take away from our happiness with our choice to stay here. Would stay here again!

So I stayed at this hotel for 1 week. Overall, it was very decent. My favorite thing was the free breakfast every morning! They had a great variety. One thing I do have to say That was very pleasant. Was the hospitality of the staff. All the staff was very polite courteous.. Like any other hotel, they hit you with hidden cost. My biggest gripe with them was the hotel is only valet parking. It is $25 a night. rooms we're over all clean. My room was a little dirty, but the hotel got on. It really quick and fixed. My issue, which I was happy for. The real question would I stay here again? Would I bring my family back? The answer is yes! It is probably one of the best hotels on Myrtle Beach.

Parking was horrible and not having a trolly to put our items up with little ones was difficult but thankfully I brought my own wagon to help the process. If coming I would either come early or later than arrival time to avoid the delay with parking of valet which is $25 a night. The carpet was torn and had sticky stuff on the carpet. The pull out mattress is the thinnest mattress ever but it works great when you need to accommodate the amount of people you have. The hot tub and pool area was nice and the drinks were amazing with the service. If asking for extra towels make sure to ask way in advance since they are backed up also. Wish they had a screwed in curtain rod since that fell on me and I when showering however the water pressure was great. Good luck with the elevator if you are in the highest floor because you will wait forever. The elevator lights went out on me while on but maintenance are extremely quick with fixing the problem within minutes. Would I stay again probably not since I thought if I pay more it would be a amazing experience but you will get the same with other hotels for a lesser price

Great location on the beach with awesome indoor water park area! My kids loved it (10 and 16)! The breakfast was great, too!

Clean and lots to do for the kids

The hotel was beautiful and impeccable. How ever my mom got injured getting into the hot tub. The tub had a lot of foam and she didnt see the last step so she fell hurting her knee. This put a damper on the rest of our stay. Accidents will happen but to not have been even acknowledged or checked on my concierge or managment was very heartbreaking. The only person that even showed any concern was the security guy who got my mom a wheelchair and got us to our room. He asked if we needed EMS we declined as it was not emergent. He said managment would check on us but it never happened. They did NOT care or ever again asked if she was okay. We called downstairs to ask of they could give us a ride to the ER, and we were told that the hotel did not offer shuttle service, with no care in the world or compassion in their voice. I couldnt take her because i had my kids with me. She spent the night in agony at the hotel. The lack of concern from management was very disheartening. Even at check out , not once were we asked how she was doing. Turns out she torn her miniscus.

Advertised as having a roll-in shower, important for a wheelchair bound person. It had a drop down seat on the tub ,that person had to slide onto and had to lift legs into the tub, which he can’t do alone. All water entertainment is inside. It was child oriented and loud. Felt like a sauna. Could only reach the beach thru flights of stairs, so beach wasn’t handicapped accessible. Couldn’t get to benches outside without climbing stairs. No on-site parking, very small entry-way, and $25/day charge. Valet service was outstanding.
