Hyatt Place Columbia/Harbison

The employees are great. They were very friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was a breeze. However, that’s where the good ends. The room was nice. The toilet was running when we got in and ran all night. The beds were stiff, according to my other family members. I took the sofa bed, which was thin as paper and you could feel the bars through the mattress. I only laid there for two seconds before getting up and putting it back in, so I just slept on the couch. That sofa bed isn’t usable at all, it’s actually quite disrespectful to guests to have that sofa bed. The room is hot and keeping the AC on high didn’t change that. It’s summertime in the south. What’s the point of a hotel if the beds are stiff, the room is hot, the sofa bed is basically a thin piece of ply wood, and the toilet is running loud all night? That’s the opposite of comfort. Hyatt is basically robbing people. Also, there was no more body wash. Wouldn’t that be something you check before? But the toilet was left running loud so I’m not surprised.

Can we just throw the whole housekeeping department away and start over. Nothing runs a hotel down quicker than uncleanliness. Floors in the room were gritty, unswept, toothpaste in the sink, stains in the bathtub. No more rooms available and no other hotel options due to graduations. I was beyond disappointed. There are no microwaves in the rooms so there's that and beds are super small for even doubling up kids. I will say that everyone i came in contact with was super nice but a big disappointment with cleanliness.

We were in town for a family wedding and the location was very convenient to the wedding venue. Property was clean and staff members were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. Property is under renovation so didn’t look quite as good as it will but nothing that interfered in any way with our stay. No drink or snack machines and limited options at the front desk for that.

Staff was absolutely amazing! I have 2 small children and they talked to them about whatever interesting fact was important at the time!

Booked a stay here for the night. I booked because I have kids. Pool was closed because it was green and had to add chemicals to clean it. Hot too was also broken for breakfast in the morning

Best place we have stayed at in this price point in a long time. Very clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, and a modern vibe will welcome your family each time you come through the doors.

This property is under renovation!!! If you like staying in a real life Cheech and Chong movie you will love this place. Back to Marriot for me and the family!

The rooms were big and clean. I call this hotel location before I booked and asked if they had a operating pool they said yes, I booked 3 rooms and asked to have rooms together or in adjoining rooms. We were booked on different floors. We had to small infants traveling and I asked for 2 cribs. I called two weeks before travel and requested again they said no problem. The morning of the day we were checking in I called again and requested that our rooms be together or adjoining and requested cribs they said they had 2 and I asked them again to reserve them they said they would.When we checked our rooms were on different floors, no cribs, pool had no water in it. They were able to get us on the same floor after much persistence but far apart from one another but no cribs. The 2nd night they did manage to find 1 crib for us. The site manager was very kind to me when I told her my disappointment as I was checking out but not accommodating us made our stay very disappointing.
