Nice hotel, great location. Two queen room with sofa bed was good size for 4 person family. Air conditioning wouldn’t cool below 72 degrees- so a little warm for us.only thing I didn’t like was sheer bathroom door- light could be seen through the door when someone used the bathroom in middle of night. Other than that, Enjoyed the free breakfast. Service was good and staff were kind.

I loved the location of this hotel and was amazing for little kids when you don’t have to worry about car seats to drive somewhere. You just walk with a stroller everywhere.

Hyatt was a great place to stay with my family for our vacation to Charleston. They provided a great buffet breakfast and ample seating. Free waters daily for the guests in your room. The one downfall was no free parking so it was about $18 a day to park in the attached parking garage. Very walkable to everything and right by the action. Very family friendly and kind staff.

Stayed at the Hyatt Place portion of the property. Clean and in generally good condition. Front desk staffing can be a little thin at times, and no concierge is available to provide information about the area. Free buffet breakfast with a variety of selections is big plus especially for families. Pool also good for families but gym facilities on the small side. Located at the top end of King St with night clubs and some restaurants in the immediate area. Better restaurants and high end stores begin several blocks closer to downtown.

This hotel was great for traveling with a family! The breakfast options were very good and had plenty for everyone’s tastes. The hotel itself is in a great walkable location. It also had nice rooms and friendly staff. The only cons were the cost of parking and the mattresses weren’t very good. Otherwise we’d definitely stay again!

We were a family of four (two teenagers). The room size with the large couch area worked well for our family. The location is on the edge of King Street in the Cannonborough area of town, it is walkable to a lot of sites and for our family it worked out very well. The Darling was one of our favorite restaurants and that was a very easy one to get to from this hotel, but the French Quarter area and Queen St is about a 30 minute walk or so one way (just for reference). The walking wasn’t an issue for our kids or family- but if you have toddlers and a stroller you may rethink the walking. There are some lovely restaurants and coffee shops within close proximity to the hotel. We had very good experiences with hotel staff during our stay. We actually did need to change rooms, after our first evening we realized the air wasn’t working and they sent someone up promptly to fix it and he said it was going to be a complicated fix and quickly got us into a different room. The breakfast isn’t amazing- but there are options and everyone in our family could find something to fill them up and satisfy them first thing in the morning. The staff were very good about keeping things stocked through all that craziness. Overall I felt like the staff were very responsive and helped solve any questions we had quickly and promptly. The parking is literally next door. We parked on our own (did not use valet) and only took the car out one day when we knew we were driving to the beach. Great stay.

Soooooo pleased! First, the staff is amazing! Everyone we saw or interacted with was so friendly! The breakfast staff work so hard and keep smiles on their faces! The breakfast was so nice, was delicious and warm and staff kept the whole area spotless! We were really impressed with the breakfast! The kids loved it too! Our room was clean and smelled nice! The whole hotel did. We also had a nice view of the city on the 7th floor! The location was perfect. We were an easy drive to all of the attractions. It was nice to be able to walk out of our hotel to shop, have dinner and grab some ice cream! We were so pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend! Lastly, we went with three teens and the couch was big enough for one to sleep there! …just a heads up!

Although the Hyatt does not own the parking deck - it is clear that families will use it while staying there. You should work with them on safety issues. My car and several were broken into and items stolen. Better cameras and gating back entrances from not being used after dark.
