It was a quick two night stay for a family getaway. The area was nice and the weather was even better!

The room is lovely, spacious and feels brand new, with soft towels and comfortable bed. Being on the beach is fantastic. Access for parking and unloading for a weeks worth of things for a family is not good. Adam was kind helpful with checkin process. Stephanie was great helping us store everything for a few hours before we could check in to our beach house.

The property was pretty janky. The pool area had poorly installed tile. Used aids sitting on top of the pool filter. The tile installer evidently did the rooms too. There were random clumps of silicon/caulk on the bathroom walls that looked like toothpaste clumps. The rooms are tiny, the mini fridge doesn't get food or drinks cold. No freezer to freeze ice packs. The walls aren't sound proof like most nice hotels. I could hear every door slam, every person walk, talk, bounce balls in the hallways at all hours. The beach is overcrowded and looked like a seal colony. Parking is an absolute nightmare. I was scared to move my vehicle after taking hours to find a spot since they lot is also a public beach access, so everyone and their brother parked in the same lot. You also have to pay to park, additional to the overpriced shoddy rooms which I wasn't told and it was $25 a day. Restaurants were vastly overpriced but food was 3/5. Would not recommend to anyone and will never return to the area. Not family friendly, not conducive for a relaxing vacation at all.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palms. Our room was clean and well stocked. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed their breakfast and most of all we loved the ease of access to beach. Good restaurants and shops are also within walking distance. We had an awesome time there!

Great beach, very good 3 star hotel. My family was extremely excited for a long weekend break, my son especially. It was a surprise for my wife's birthday and a surprise for my son. The gentleman that checked us in could not have been more of a buzz killer. Talk about going from excited to feeling like you are an inconvenience. Zero personality, never said "welcome, thank you, asked if we had stayed before, offered any recommendations." Not rude or hateful, just seemed to hate his job. Over all the hotel was decent. Its an older 3 star hotel. But, the location is great and food and shopping is all within walking. Honestly, just due to the check in experience I will stay somewhere else next time.

This stay was an overnight adventure with our grandchildren. The staff, especially Stephanie, were very helpful and friendly. The property was very clean and fresh. The continental breakfast was great. The beach and pool were the hits of the property for the children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if we return to the Isle of Palms, we will definitely stay here again.

When I booked this hotel, I didn’t know we would pay $400 for a room with not even a window, even though it is advertised as a beach property. It was like staying in a motel. I am sure ocean front rooms had a nice view, but $400 for not even view of the sky?! Bathroom smelled like urine, there was no place to park and it was super super loud. Very disappointed. The biggest thing was that there was a shooting few hours before we arrived, and the receptionists didn’t even bother to inform us. We were staying with 2 young children and after we realized what happened my husband went around to ask police, since receptionists only said there was an incident. Would definitely not stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here, the ocean view was just perfect! The only thing I didn't like about the room was the lock to the balcony door, it didn't lock so having a toddler who knows how to open the door just made me nervous.
