Comfort Suites West Warwick - Providence

Asked for a crib in our room and called ahead to make sure they had them. When we got there, apparently all the cribs were being used so we had no where for our baby to sleep. The wallpaper was coming off the walls in our room too. It was fine for a quick stay and the breakfast was decent but definitely not worth $150 a night.

My stay was not good at all. My room was not cleaned well and I left out for the day with family to come back and find my room door open. Thank God nothing was missing. While my car was parked in lot overnight someone stole part of my bumper. It appears to have shelter people living in the hotel as well Please stay away from this location.

The breakfast was excellent. Well stocked and clean area. There was a maintenance issue with light gushing from a ceiling fixture in the middle of the night and then slowed to a drip. I had to put an ice bucket under it for the night rather than wake my family up and get someone.

The room was specious, beds comfortable, staff pleasant, breakfast was okay. Not happy to see the staff using the pool and hanging out before the pool was closed. Cleanliness was poor in the room!! Mildew smell throughout the entire room. I had to deep clean the bathroom: shower curtain, bathroom floors especially. I took my own bedding because my child has allergies. It was a must to cleanse the smell, and disinfect. I had to purchas clorox wipes/ mildew remover to disinfectant the entire room. It was NECCESSARY!!

We stayed at the CS for 2 nights with other families staying as well. Two rooms had garbage in their room as if it had not been cleaned at all! Garbage. Never again. My personal opinion - booked thru Expedia and needed to change my reservation so I worked with them in that. I also needed to make a request for an early check-in for one day. The property refused to help me and I spent a lot of time on the phone with Expedia who also tried repeatedly to pass this request on to the property. Expedia cannot grant this particular request but they could never speak to the manager every time they called. Eventually I had to call the night before because they never responded and the front desk person put me on hold (put the phone down) and literally forgot I was there. She didn’t come back. After 12 minutes of listening to sounds from the desk, I hung up and called back. When I said hey you left me on hold for 12 minutes and never came back, she just said oh ok. It took a minute for her to say sorry and then it took another 20 minutes for her to understand what I was asking. It was difficult to communicate bc she did not speak English. She was also unpleasant. The room was not nice - toilet had a drip from the tank which made the floor wet and the carpeting and sofa didn’t appear clean at all. There is a very nice Springfield Suites down the road 500 feet. Stay there.

The only redeeming quality was the size of the room and the price for it. The phone inside our room did not work at all, not even to call the front desk, the privacy deadbolt on the door did not function (it doesn't line up with the door jamb), we had to buy air freshener spray because the room had a dirty feet smell, and the elevator was 2 months over due for its annual inspection (it also got stuck on the 2nd floor and the door closed seperating us from our child). There were also large trucks parked across 4 or 5 spots of the already limited parking on both the front and back side of the hotel. The online booking showed an indoor pool, we were not notified until I asked at check in that it was closed for maintenance indefinitely.

I changed rooms three times d/t noise (construction out back and guests that were 'living at the hotel' with children that were not monitored in common areas by parents.

Everything is good except the pool was closed until further notice. I have kids that was the whole reason I book this hotel.

This hotel was the most humid and muggy of my whole life. I can only what kind of organisms grow in this closed environment. The whole family was awake at 3AM all moist and uncomfortable. We had a 5 night stay planned, we left the hotel after the first night. The hotel staff was cooperative though when we asked to shorten our stay. So I have to give this to them.

We had a great stay at the Comfort. The staff is very nice and accomodating, willing to help and to fix any issue that may arise.My family had a very comfortable stay. Parking was plenty, breakfast was delicious and varied. We will come back :)
