Residence Inn by Marriott Newport/Middletown

Overall my stay was very good. I was disappointed that there were no shower caps available in the bathrooms. Other than that it was quite accommodating. I would stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends.

For the 4th year in a row i’ve booked a two bedroom suite for my birthday. My family enjoys celebrating with me and this makes it perfect. The pool & hot tub were both open and perfect!

We only stayed one night and the room upstairs was so noisy it sounded like a bunch of little kids running around, and then moving all the furniture on the room. This continued throughout the night, when I spoke to guests services they offered me me no compensation for a sleepless night.

I was able to get a early check in and it worked out great for my family

We had a 3 night stay with our young kids. The pool was a big draw as was the 2 bedroom suite style room we booked. Though we enjoyed our stay and found local fun attractions to explore such as save the bay aquarium and goat hiking, the room itself was a bit of a let down. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean but could use updating, especially all 3 tvs which had difficulty turning on and glitched on and off on every channel. The pool was fun but very very small and sometimes over crowded. We attempted to swim our first night but there were 24 people in the pool area with poorly supervised kids doing backflips into a 4ft deep, crowded pool. The remaining pool visits were more enjoyable, with less than 10people in the pool it seemed a more appropriate capacity. Free breakfast was good, well organized.

I thought the hotel was wonderful! The staff are so friendly and the hotel is beautiful. Great happy hour on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday - wine/beer and appetizers are FREE. So close to the beach and the wharf area. Loved bringing my family!

The staff were gracious and helpful with us, as we had come to town to support an ill family member. We didn't know how long our stay would be, but the staff smoothly extended our stay to nine days. A great help at a difficult time!

Great hotel for families. Very close to Newport, much cheaper than staying in Newport itslef and its only 5 to 10 minutes away by car or bus.

The check in was quick. The room wasn’t ready. We are a family with 3 kids, we didn’t have enough towels. The extra roll over bed I asked for in the reservation wasn’t in the room, we didn’t have any sheets for the sofa bed. In overall it wasn’t ready for our capacity. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable, even for children.
