The swimming pool was closed the entire time we were there which was a bummer for the kids.

We were only there for a few hours. We checked in 3 and due to a family emergency we had to leave at 6:30 we went to the front desk to see if they could do anything about the bill. We were not expecting necessarily a full refund but we spent $500 for one night. The front desk person went in the back and called the manager. After a few minutes, he came back and said the manager would have to call the general manager and we would hear back either that night or the next day. We knew once we left we would never hear from them and that is exactly what happened.

Family of 5, stayed in king bed/ pull out couch it was plenty of room for a one night stay.. very accommodating. Breakfast wasn’t bad considering food prices …kids enjoyed the the waffle station. clean and safe that’s really all that mAtters to me when traveling on a budget.

Staff and Room were excellent. Breakfast choices were good. Only issue was pool. Parents not controlling their children & towels were way too small

Visiting for a family wedding. The hotel was for our first night since we had to join the wedding party for the next two nights. It was less than half the price of the Viking Hotel AND included breakfast which was just perfect for our family of 6. Great service too. Newport is a great place to visit.

The room was clean enough. Two double beds, one comfortable chair, one desk with chair, one tv. no dvd player, one microwave, frig (larger than compact), one small coffeemaker. Also gave complimentary buffett breakfast in lobby which was very very busy by 8:30 - 9AM. Something to remember! tv remote needed batteries. Something that the staff wasn't prepared to handle. the hotel is situated on property with Applebees (not so great a restaurant) and a couple of other larger lower grade hotels. It works very well for families with young children. They have an indoor pool and workout room. Overall very good!

For just an overnight stay this was a great choice. The front desk staff was friendly and the room was clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to Applesbee's next door but I would recommend Newport Creamery down the road for amazing food. Just wished when we checked out the next morning, cookies were out for the kids.
