We were able to move to a different room when the room next door was had kids screaming for an hour. The front desk person was reluctant and made us wait for no reason but did it. Drop the room exchange snottiness and just help when you can like Canada and Denmark. But the Wyndham is a great hotel for the money in the historic district of Philadelphia. We will be back!

The staff greeted us warmly and helped to address my concerns with the accessible room we were staying in. Everything and everyone was amazing. I cannot recommend them enough. We were treated like family.

Our stay at the Wyndham started out bad, because the air wasn't working properly and it was 90+ degrees outside ... Maintenance did come up to fix it, before it was time to go to bed. The pool was packed with 30+ kids, very congested. Pool had hair floating, that stuck to you. Hotel is a little outdated, but it served its purpose for an overnight stay.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel location was excellent. Very nice historical, walking neighborhood. The hotel was very clean. Nice lobby for relaxing. There was a lobby bar/restaurant and a Starbucks a block away. Very secure. Your key gives you access to only your floor, so if traveling with family or friends, request the same floor. (Or always meet in the lobby.) A/C didn’t work for the first 24-30 hours, but was fixed before we turned in for the night on day 2.

We had a pleasant stay and will return. The staff, particularly the concierge desk, were highly attentive, and our family felt well-treated. The hotel's location is conveniently close to historic sites. However, we were disappointed by a email stating we could order a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday, especially after inviting guests who paid for parking.

I booked the Wyndham for a weekend getaway with my husband. Check in was quick and easy. Every staff member we encountered was courteous and helpful. When we had an issue with a slow draining tub, it was fixed promptly. And when we asked for a late checkout it was honored without a hitch. We were within walking distance of major attractions as well as places to eat, drink and shop. Great for families and if you drive, the hotel offers parking.

The bartender that night was very understanding of a tough time our family was going through with our son in the UPENN hospital. We appreciated her compassion so much.

Pros: Walking distance to many historic sites and nice eateries. Attractive lobby. Microwave oven in every room. Small but adequate workout room that is open late. The housekeeping staff were friendly. Also, my family liked the sundry shop. Cons: Receptionist originally gave us a room on the second floor even though we told her that we were apprehensive about staying on that floor. As it turns out, that room smelled horribly musty, so we changed it for a room on another floor which did not smell. The water cooler in the fitness center was empty; Apparently it had been empty for awhile and there were no replacement jugs in-house. The front desk staff seemed to be overwhelmed; When i called the front desk to ask for a hairdryer, their phone rang many times before anyone picked up, and then they forgot about my request.
