Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, an IHG Hotel

Amazing staff…. We loved everything about it location location location we probably won’t be going back any time soon but definitely I will let all my family & friends that Kimpton Monaco is the place to stay in Philadelphia

For what was supposed to be a nicer hotel, the check in experience wasnt great(lady at the front desk wasnt friendly or in a good mood), the room was filthy with dust everywhere including on the white bedding we were supposed to sleep on, the sink in the bathroom leaked like crazy underneath where they decided to place our towels and the extra toilet paper so they were almost all soaked by the time we wanted to use them, the remote on the tv doesnt work so you have to walk up to the tv to control volume, and when I went to the closet to get an extra pillow(as there's very few on the bed)the pillow stored in there didnt even have a pillow case. We booked a 5 star hotel to avoid this as we were travelling as a family of 3 adults and a baby. The only positive part of the stay was the valet people at the front who were friendly and proactively helpful(though They should be as there is nowhere close to park at all). Not recommended especially for the price

The Kimpton Mónaco was absolutely incredible. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff were amazing, and the location cannot be beat. The hotel is steps away from Independence Hall and so much American history. We had our teenage children with us, and they were so happy with the hotel too. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is modernized to reflect 1800s and 1900s. It is sooo beautiful and the artwork is amazing. Then they have a lounge upstairs and a restaurant in the lobby. Me and my kids enjoyed every lunch/dinner and desserts. We will be back again. The staff was amazing from front desk , cleaning and staff in the restaurant. Everything was near the historic museums and restaurants. They have in room dining as well. What’s not to love.

There over the holidays for a family trip…Great overall stay- helpful staff and valet, nice lobby and room, great location.

I stay at Kimptom propertiee often. We had a suite for this stay and it was awful. The rooms need an update. The pullout bed for my kids was griss, mattress dirty. AC in bedroom wasnt working snd it was very hot. The whole room just looked old and felt dirty. Kids didnt want to sleep on the bed. We checked out.

The people. Angela, Anthony and the woman at the front desk (morning of 2/18) were amazing. They felt like friends and treated us like family.

The staff super friendly, the property it self needs a little more attention, my family and I stayed this past Friday 12/23 Christmas weekend the entrance was filthy! SUPER! And honestly that was my first impression. The rest wasn’t impressive.

Though not the fanciest hotel in Philadelphia, it is my favorite because of its location, pet friendly policy, and practicality. I've encountered different staff and everyone has always been very nice and helpful. I've stayed in a room with no view, partial view, and park view - and they've always been good, comfortable, and clean. Once I had to ask for a (very) late checkout and paid a little extra for it, and they were so accommodating, not judgy and upheld their word when quoting a price or a time. Very impressed, and we will be back, will recommend this to friends and family - especially if they have dogs that they're traveling with. The valet attendants are kind, the concierge are kind, I've had a really superb experience from the humans at the hotel. No one is even pushy about getting a tip, I even had to chase someone down to tip them (!), and they truly deserve it! The one thing I do not like about it is that the adjacent restaurant attached in the lobby doesn't serve food worthy of the hotel. I've stayed here a few times, and have ordered from the restaurant three times — it's always bad! The only acceptable thing I got was an iced latte (so, you pull 2 espresso shots and pour it over cold milk and ice -- not hard to do).

We had the most wonderful experience here with our two kids and two dogs! Planned on just passing through for one night and decided to stay an additional night, they only had a one bedroom suite available because of the holiday weekend and we took it, but with it being our 20th anniversary as well they gave us a generous discount and upon arrival of the new room had wine, chocolates and a card waiting for us! The room was beautiful, huge soaking tub, windows overlooking the park and city on the 8th floor, fantastic and friendly bell service and all around wonderful experience! Walking distance to all the fun things and easy to get around with the dogs! Thank you Timpton! We will be coming back for sure!
