Penn's View Hotel

The stay was great, staff was friendly, my only complaint is that the hotel should renew the bedding sheets because it’s unpleasant to see blood stains on sheets especially when traveling with a child. Other than that, the stay was great.

The hotel room was top notch. We were there in extreme hot weather and the A/C worked great! Nice shower, though the bathroom is very small. There are no hooks or racks to hang your towels. Best for couples, not families. This was a perfect location to step out and walk to Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and all the old town sites. Parking was available next door to the hotel but not run by the hotel. Sub par experience with parking. We had to pay with cash most of the time as the loose card reader seldom worked. There’s no breakfast at the hotel; well, there is coffee with limited options, and plastic-wrapped muffins. But fantastic restaurants only .2 miles away. Overall, this was a great stay for us.

This is the third time I stayed at Penn's View. It is very conveniently located to all the historic sites. You can park next door, for a fee, (not associated with the hotel). I was very pleased with our room this time. It is a family run hotel among all the big chains. Personally I like the comfort, location, the history of the hotel, the staff and that it is still a family business. And the owner being Italian is a big plus for me!
