Canopy by Hilton Philadelphia Center City

Loved the hotel. Asked for my shower gel to be replaced twice but never was. Very cool vibe. Nice lounge and atmosphere. Wish they played a bit more sophisticated music. Wish the shower was a bit bigger and wish they had a jacuzzi tub option. Better for A single person or family traveling…. Not so much couples. Great close self-parking and location.

Hotel was clean and updated, staff was very nice and friendly, walking distance to everything. My family and I took a stroll at night around the neighborhood and we felt safe.

We found this hotel to be delightful. The staff was friendly and helpful, the decor was great, and the hotel was clean and welcoming. Our family would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and it will be our first choice for our next stay in the area.

The room phone never worked. Had to use my personal phone to request service. Requested bell cart service, never showed. Requested because I had my child with me. After retrieving a cart from the lobby the key didn’t work for the elevator. After getting the key reset, the key didn’t work for the room. Had to go back downstairs and there was only 1 attendant on duty and she was bogged down with guest. Had to grab an employee who kindly took me to the room and let me in. Visit Philly every other week and have stayed in a number of hotels around the city and in close proximity to the Canopy. Will probably never choose to stay at this Canopy again.

The canopy was a nice hotel, mostly clean and tidy. Some pillows had small stains, bed was very "used and abused" which wasn't very comfortable for me because it was way too soft and I kept sinking in it. Some towels also had stains. No mini fridge which was a little disappointing (I had baby food I needed to store). Overall stay was OK. Staff and restaurant were great, valet parking was a big plus.

I stayed in the hotel with my family during Thanksgiving. It was wonderful. The hotel is clearly a nice choice! The rooms are not big, but nice and clean and cozy. The location is unbeatable. You can walk to Indepdence Hall, China Town, Macy's, the City Hall. Everything is closeby. And you can easily have a nice breakfast or lunch at Reading Terminal Market. Definitely recommend the hotel. I hope to have the chance of visiting Philly again and will definitely choose the hotel again.

There's so much that could be great about this property, but there have been many small issues both times I've stayed. Our room had a really disgusting, slimy substance on the floor of the shower that we just tried to ignore. We heard lots of noise from neighboring rooms all throughout the night. The Scrabble game in the lobby had no pieces, we were told that "The manager took them so that kids wouldn't throw them around." And the coffee lids didn't fit the cups for complimentary coffee. They're all small things, but they add up to a mediocre experience.

I was reluctant to stay in Philadelphia because I had heard it could be unsafe. However, this was not the case; when I drove up to Canopy, my children and I felt very secure. It was very well-lit, and there was a valet service at the front; the added people in the front gave me peace of mind. Mind you, I drove in at 11 pm. Once we walked in, I was impressed with the aesthetics and cleanliness of the hotel. There was tons of modern art all over the walls and not a spec of dirt. The staff was friendly, funny, and even sent a text to ensure all was well in the room once we checked in. My daughters and I were impressed with the decor and comfort of the room. You often have to give up one to have the other, but that was not the case here at the Canopy. I would recommend staying here when visiting Philadelphia.

Very comfortable beds!! Slept like a baby.
