Comfort Suites Scranton near Montage Mountain

Things started off well. I even received two texts after checking in to make sure everything was okay, which I felt was very nice. The problem occurred in the middle of the night when I woke up and felt like my feet were on fire. Turns out there was at least one bedbug, which I found and killed. I experienced multiple bites. Upon telling management in the morning via text, the manager came into the room and started pulling apart the bed looking for the bed bug. My husband asked him to please wait until I came out of the bathroom so I can show him and the evidence remains untouched. He did not listen. After showing him the bug and blood he said it's a baby. He did not say anything else. He never said I'm sorry this happened to you. He kept emphasizing we will get a refund which is great and all but there was no empathy toward my family and I, especially me who was the one who got bit. Mind you my 1 and 3 year old were present in the room. The manager man actually got upset that my husband got upset at him for seemingly downplaying my experience by calling the bed bug a baby as if what I went through was no big deal. Horrible customer service.

I love this hotel, as the management consistently maintains and improves the rooms and public areas. This one is family owned, and throughout many years represents a better choice than other hotels at this same rating level.

Check in was easy even though busy. Comfortable, clean accommodations. Nice hot tub and swimming pool. Exercise facilities looked nice (didn’t use). Only adults in our group but lots of kids here.

Clean comfortable, nice large breakfast area. Arcade was added bonus for kids- although needed ac in that room. Pool and hot tub looked nice , didn’t use them on our overnight stay. Staff was very courteous!

Staff is very friendly, building is very nice, suite is comfy and clean. Kids loved the pool and spa, game room is for older kids. Exercise room is smaller, has free weights treadmill, bike, and elliptical.

Booked online a month before staying. Once we checked in and got our room, we saw black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. Went down to the front desk and asked for another room. They quickly gave us another room. Altho they did not appear shocked so I’m sure they knew about it . Btw we had two small children with us.

Great staff, very attentive and friendly. Was joking with the night ladies at the front desk all weekend, you girls are great. Super clean, fun for the kiddos, and super convenient to several attractions and restaurants. We'll be back. Already booked our next stay.

It was great for myself and my kids

The young kids (4, 2) really loved the pool and hot tub. They also enjoyed the breakfast because it was all carbs. The adults did not enjoy the breakfast for the same reason. The room was pretty nice except for the poorly designed bathroom, with a giant door that swung open and made it hard to access the tub, and the old "sink outside the bathroom."
