Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dickson City/Scranton

We grew up in Scranton but have lived on Orlando for over 20 years. Coming back to visit family, it’s an easy decision and convenient location for us. Not fancy but just what we need.

My name is Eve Yvette Eleby Domenech and my family of 9 checked out this morning after having a really weird rude and thievery we experienced we're owed money for 2 days that was entered as one night instead of 2 and paid and was charged for two and have proof the manager of the microtel was rude and very unprofessional and disrespectful and stolen$214.26 I'm suing her and the hotel

Check in was a breeze. The room was a decent size, window seat was a nice touch for the kids. The room needed a paint refresh but was clean, quiet and comfortable. No complaints, we’d stay here again.

The front desk staff was great and always smiling. There was plenty of hot water which doesn't always happen in hotels like this. Unfortunately there was dust all over the room and in some spots looked like it hadn't been wiped down for weeks. The room was much smaller than the pictures led on, had about 2 1/2 feet on either side of a queen bed and a bathroom, entire room was roughly 12 x 14 including the bathroom. The location of the hotel is not great and the entrance is marked with an 11 in x 17 in sign that's faded, Google Maps didn't even know where to turn. Lehigh Valley Hospital is a couple doors down and you can walk to it so it's great if you're there due to a family member in the hospital, otherwise if you're there for anything else the location just isn't good. We chose it because it had high ratings on Expedia. We were only in the room to sleep so for that it was fine.

Excellent hotel and staff. Enjoyable stay. It's my go-to whenever I'm in Scranton. My only complaint was the rudeness of other guests who were talking loudly out in the hallway to either friends or family in other rooms, beginning at 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning

I had two rooms for my family of 7 on way to Florida. It was clean, quiet & had your basic continental breakfast. Staff was helpful & polite. I would stay again. Not fancy, but comfortable beds & right of interstate.

Very affordable and convenient when visiting family in Scranton.

The stay was good nice clean the guy at the desk very nice and helpful the rooms were nice clean space overal I love the hotel and will come there again and recommend family to stay there nice clean professional offer breakfast I didn’t get up in time for that but it’s great for that offer you could use the laundry good selection in the vendor machine thank you

A gem! My family was looking for a place to stay for a night to divide a long drive between Brooklyn and Syracuse, and the location of this hotel was perfect. Super easy, right off the highway. And the cleanliness of the property and friendliness of the staff far surpassed our expectations. My son wound up leaving his iPad behind in the room, and the front desk was so helpful in confirming it had been found and holding it for us until we were able to pick it up on our return trip 3 days later. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we head upstate.

We can hear neighbors on the phone, kids talking and alarm or phone rings all night.
