I stayed here for work and was super impressed from the moment I walked into the door. Ryan at the front desk was super professional, polite, and very helpful and informative. My room was super cozy. Loved the art, the fluffy robe, bottled water, and the rose on my door handle upon arrival was a nice touch! The toiletries that are provided have a pleasant fresh smell and enjoyed the glass enclosed shower with great water pressure. I enjoyed a nice walk to the downtown area that evening. Once my car was parked I did not need it until checking out the next day. The area was completely walkable and very lit up and safe. The next day I had a hard time getting out of bed because it was so relaxing although I had planned to use the free passes to the Y across the street I just couldn’t pull myself out of bed early. I’m not a breakfast person but I have to have coffee so ventured downstairs and the as I made a cup the young lady opened the doors to the terrace which was the most perfect place to start the day! I had never thought of a vacation in Lancaster with the family but after staying there I am ready to plan one! Only regret I have is not eating at the restaurant at the hotel as I didn’t look at the menu until I ate elsewhere. The menu looked amazing!

Location to Franklin &Marshall is good. The hotel is cute. We had 2 rooms. The presidential was great. Tons of windows. The shower is Meh. The arts loft was not great. Dark and one small window. Room 504. Felt like a cave. Mold in bathroom on shower tiles. No light! Long wait at times for front desk. One day key to room stopped working. Slow elevator rude and then had to wait 5-8 mins to get then to reset. My family was waiting upstairs. To get in. Then guy was cavalier about me having to come back down. Like what’s the prob? I’m on top floor and elevator is molasses pace. Only 1 and on top floor. Parking is tight in the unsecured covered lot. We mostly had to park outside so what far from the hotel. With signs saying they are not responsible if you are broken into. The bar tender was super helpful at restaurant. I needed ice to ice my knee and she was so sweet and helpful. The hostess was not at all. At the restaurant. The opposite of helpful. I will look for another place next time I go. Unless I can get the suite. That was huge but quiet and light.

We loved the art focus. Having a drawing pad and encol to encourage sketching got us both drawing! Our room was in the historic section. The brick wall, artistic furnishings and original artwork created a one of a kind experience. We plan to return the next time we visit our son and his family.

We visit Lancaster often for family visits and always choose Arts Hotel. The staff are wonderful, the rooms and common area’s beautiful, and the hotel is nicely located in town. You can’t beat it.

While the hotel itself is just fine, I would not recommend for families with little ones. One of the biggest things we look for as a family of 3 with a toddler, is a mini fridge where we can store perishable snacks or beverages in the rooms we stay in. It seems this specific hotel only has a small wine holding cooler, in each room. Just not what we were expecting. The hotel was also having some issues with humidity indoors, but dehumidifiers were provided in our room. Not ideal when you’re looking for a cozy stay away from home. I’d say this particular hotel would be more suited for a single individual or couple needing a night away.

Loved all the art on the walls. Loved the studio look of the rooms with exposed brick and rafters. Loved the modern sleek bathrooms. Hotel staff very nice and accommodating . Not a very good place for toddlers or families with small kids .
