Bird in Hand Family Inn

We stayed there for one night with our family. Our room had a parking spot in front of it. The room was clean. Friendly staff.

I have stayed here in the past so did not hesitate to book again..given a room in what I would consider the ground floor or basement level...the 200's section. You could see the pool off to the side and some garden area. after we got settled I noticed an odor in the room...chlorine or chemical...I would have moved but my family member did not want to...after returning from dinner I noticed the room was more of a musty smell. The bed was awful as were the pillows...the mattress was lumpy and you had to make sure you moved to the middle of the bed to be somewhat comfortable. I had not encountered this in the past. The bathroom is tiny. I was disappointed in my stay as I have stayed in the past in various rooms and not encountered these issues. If I were alone I would have pushed for a different room. I am not sure if I would return to this hotel based on this. I did mention the mattress to the clerk upon checking out and she said she "would mention it to them". I was not asked at check out how my stay was so I offered the comments to them about the mattress.

I love coming to Bird in hand family inn. My family and I have gone atleast once a year for the past 10 years. This last time the experience was different. I believe they are remodeling but I am not sure. The pool area was extremely unclean. There’s was mold around the hot tub and the pool looked very dirty. That unfortunately made our experience not so pleasing as we usually love their amenities. We decided against getting in. Hopefully they bring the place back up to healthy conditions.

This place is a favorite destination for our family. Clean, quiet and laid-back fun..

This is a great place to stay with a family lots to do right on the property and a fantastic area to spend some time exploring.

Great spot in Amish Country. Convenient to everything you would want! The property has so much to offer families! The restaurant next door was excellent country fair!

The Bird-in-hand family Inn Is the perfect family hotel. It's in a wonderful, quiet, out of the way part of Lancaster. That can only be described as peaceful. The staff is extremely courteous, and helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel is absolutely delicious. And extremely affordable. I recommend this place to anybody looking to Get Out and see Hershey park. Or if you just want to see a see a friendly, peaceful, and serene part of "Amish Country". You wont want to leave!

Very clean property and friendly staff. Beautiful location and lots to do on property. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The free coffee in the check in office was amazing. We stood in the front rooms and the beds could’ve been a little more comfortable. They were a little too soft for our liking but the rooms were clean and comfortable. One thing to note is that the indoor pool was closed during a storm. I understand the outdoor pool being closed but I couldn’t understand why they would close the indoor pool as well. It was not opened until a few hours later once storm passed. A little disappointing that the kids had to wait to enjoy the pool but at the end of the day not a huge deal just annoying.
