Microtel Inn & Suites By Wyndham Philadelphia Airport Ridley

I have stayed here more than once over the 4 year period my child was in college in the area. Staffing needs to be improved. Reception was great, but housekeeping needs improvement. This trip I stayed 3 nights. Housekeeping only made beds and replaced towels once. A dirty towel was hanging on the back of the bathroom door when I arrived. Neither the tub nor the sink drained well. Obviously, they need snaked or something. The tub faucet had black mold around it at the attachment point. Breakfast was a plus. Nothing fancy, but just enough.

The time we stay in Microtel was amazing. The services is amazing, friendly staff, the place is clean and quiet and has very option to eat outside. I love this place and I will recommend it to my family and friends.

On our way from Montreal to Myrtle Beach with the kids, we booked a night there in order to make the trip easier for the kids. Since the plan was to leave after the kids' school, we knew we would arrive late (between midnight and 1 a.m.), so three days prior to the scheduled date, I called the number on the website. Seemed like I got a person from a call center, but the service was ok. I was supposed to receive a call from a manager from the hotel, which never happenned. Good news! Online, it says that if you reserve with a credit card, the room is kept even for late arrivals. Second good news! We traveled with another family and they arrived earlier. They went to the front desk to make sure they would keep the room for us. Well, what we tried so hard to prevent happened. We arrived at 1 a.m. after 8 hours of driving. The kids and ourselves were exhausted. No room available: they were cleaning the remaining ones, so we waited half an hour. Instead of asking if we needed anything, a coffee, please use the free wi-fi, maybe your kids would like something while you wait? Nope, we felt like we were interrupting a couple listening to their TV in their own living room. Dr Phil was chatting with another TV host so loud that we had a hard time talking to each other. Employees were exchanging pleasanteries and laughs at the front desk. When our room was finally ready, around 1:45 a.m., we went. Next to the elevator with an A/C unit that sounded like a diesel truck. Great.

We arrived at 10 pm and were told we would have to wait for the staff to clean the rooms. Traveled to a nearby hotel, as we needed to get children to bed and really didn’t want to have to wait. Our check in time was 3 pm. No reason for rooms to not be clean.

It was pretty good i stay here often when visiting a family friend about every 3-5 months. They gave me a great room nice and quiet room was pretty clean just tub could've been cleaner and in bedroom on lower walls was something dried up pillows were to hard but i just slept on bed moved pillows not a big thing. There was a fire alarm in middle of night still ok .Overall i will come back i usually bring cleaning stuff with me anyway but nothing major to complain about at all. I like it here and front desk is pretty nice.

Nice place but too many kids running around in the rooms

very easy to stay at. quiet. multiple plugs for kids phones- a must. we left at 4 am , gas station 500 feet away to get coffee and gas rental, airport 6 min away!. what we needed. very clean which is the most important , read 900 reviews of others in area , i was overwhelmed at what i read about others. this was great.

So we had already paid and booked our stay and got there to check in. Lady at front desk barely even looked at us and took about 15 min staring at a screen trying to figure out what room to give us. Finally got it, went upstairs passing by non smoking rooms yet the hallways were horrible smelling of smoke. Opened our room....and walked into a family already occupying the room and tons of cursing. It was upsetting for the guests already in there and us. Returned downstairs to have to wait 20 + min with our 2 kids scared after that experience. Grateful that they did put us in another room that didn'f smell like smoke, but we were all worried. My husband said others on the elevator as he was unpacking car shared that the same thing happened to them. Scary.
