Fire alarm testing at 8am without notice…my child was sleeping at the time…how could you not gives guests a heads up about something like that

I enjoyed my 1-night stay with kids here. Staff were responsive and very helpful with everything and went above and beyond! The only problem was bathroom door lock was broken. I'd come again.

We ended up here after two canceled flights. Hotel that we reserved via Expedia that did t have a room then clicking on the map to reserve a hotel via Expedia that then reserved the wrong Microtel. We paid Uber driver to take us to the Microtel we had tried to reserve. When we arrive we meet a family tht is leaving at 11pm because they just got in their room and found nastiness in their beds and pillows. We go in uncertain and exhausted. The employee tells us our reservation is 15 minutes away. We take it as a sign and hire another Uber to take us to the third hotel of the night. We arrive at This Microtel property. They have a room. The lobby is clean. They have some expensive snacks; we buy them. There is a convenience store and two restaurants in the parking lot, but it was raining really hard. The room looks fine to our exhausted eyes. When we go to take a shower we find a used towel on the back of the bathroom door and when you sit on the toilet you notice significant shaved hair along the edges of the bathroom. In the morning there was a live carpet beetle in the bath tub. The free breakfast was decent. Significant food options. We scheduled the free shuttle to the airport the night before and they even called us to make sure we were coming down.

I have stayed here more than once over the 4 year period my child was in college in the area. Staffing needs to be improved. Reception was great, but housekeeping needs improvement. This trip I stayed 3 nights. Housekeeping only made beds and replaced towels once. A dirty towel was hanging on the back of the bathroom door when I arrived. Neither the tub nor the sink drained well. Obviously, they need snaked or something. The tub faucet had black mold around it at the attachment point. Breakfast was a plus. Nothing fancy, but just enough.

The time we stay in Microtel was amazing. The services is amazing, friendly staff, the place is clean and quiet and has very option to eat outside. I love this place and I will recommend it to my family and friends.

On our way from Montreal to Myrtle Beach with the kids, we booked a night there in order to make the trip easier for the kids. Since the plan was to leave after the kids' school, we knew we would arrive late (between midnight and 1 a.m.), so three days prior to the scheduled date, I called the number on the website. Seemed like I got a person from a call center, but the service was ok. I was supposed to receive a call from a manager from the hotel, which never happenned. Good news! Online, it says that if you reserve with a credit card, the room is kept even for late arrivals. Second good news! We traveled with another family and they arrived earlier. They went to the front desk to make sure they would keep the room for us. Well, what we tried so hard to prevent happened. We arrived at 1 a.m. after 8 hours of driving. The kids and ourselves were exhausted. No room available: they were cleaning the remaining ones, so we waited half an hour. Instead of asking if we needed anything, a coffee, please use the free wi-fi, maybe your kids would like something while you wait? Nope, we felt like we were interrupting a couple listening to their TV in their own living room. Dr Phil was chatting with another TV host so loud that we had a hard time talking to each other. Employees were exchanging pleasanteries and laughs at the front desk. When our room was finally ready, around 1:45 a.m., we went. Next to the elevator with an A/C unit that sounded like a diesel truck. Great.

We arrived at 10 pm and were told we would have to wait for the staff to clean the rooms. Traveled to a nearby hotel, as we needed to get children to bed and really didn’t want to have to wait. Our check in time was 3 pm. No reason for rooms to not be clean.

It was pretty good i stay here often when visiting a family friend about every 3-5 months. They gave me a great room nice and quiet room was pretty clean just tub could've been cleaner and in bedroom on lower walls was something dried up pillows were to hard but i just slept on bed moved pillows not a big thing. There was a fire alarm in middle of night still ok .Overall i will come back i usually bring cleaning stuff with me anyway but nothing major to complain about at all. I like it here and front desk is pretty nice.

Nice place but too many kids running around in the rooms

Staff was very friendly and nice.this was my second time in two months and I will stay again, family friendly.
